We enjoyed the walk to reach the hotel and loved every minute of our too brief stay.  The setting is out of a storybook with views to enjoy every direction you look.  The lights of Belalp at night are so pretty.  We had the foundue for dinner which was delicious.  The staff were were friendly.  Next time we will stay two nights....one wasn't long enough.

Spectacular

I found the service rather rude. The meal tasted as if was cooked yesterday and today just reheated. Although we ordered 5 meals and 5 beers, we had to pay 6 chf for tap water... I think there are better places to eat

6 chf for tap water when we already expended 45 chf per person???

We were first of all impressed by the kindness of the personel. The view we had from the hotel and the very good food helped to make our 2 nights stay unforgettable. One minus, other guests are not always very respectfull referring noise in their rooms. 

So nice

You cant really beat the view in this hotel. The setting is absolutely spectacular setting and is really lovely in the evening when the tourists start disappearing and you  can sit out on the terrace and look at the stars. The panoramic dining room is beautiful, the food is also good and the decoration nicely done.  The hotel has been done up in a simple but classy style, white and clean with a few vintage touches. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable.. verging on the spartan actually. The toiletries given were a bit minimalistic.. luckily I bought soap with me as the sachet of body wash I was given was hardly enough for a shower. The bathrooms are also a bit old fashioned.. I had to hold the shower in my hand as there was nowhere to hang it.

Fantastic view

We didn't stay at the Hotel Belalp, but we spent a few hours walking the grounds and enjoying dinner at the hotel. 

Our meal was amazing - the appetizers especially. I would highly recommend ordering more appetizers than entrees. Our waiter was friendly and very attentive. The panoramic views will leave you in awe throughout your meal. We watched goats walk around the church perched on a hill above us, we enjoyed watching the sun set on the mountains as our evening went on, and the Gondola ride down was an easy way to end the evening.

Stunning Views, Delicious Food!

Stayed here for 2 nights in July as a base to explore the Sparrhorn. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the rooms were basic but comfy with everything we needed. The real selling point for this hotel is the view from the restaurant which looks out over the glacier. We thoroughly enjoyed tucking into our delicious evening meal while the sun set over the mountains. Overall, a lovely stay.

Nice rooms, stunning view

This is the perfect place for a sunny afternoon drink while enjoying one of the most stunning views of the alps. To the right, you'll get to see the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau mountains and even the tip of the Matterhorn, on the left the famous (but, alas, much diminished) Aletsch glacier.

The restaurant features an outdoor and a kind of indoor terrace, both of which very sunny, and service is prompt, friendly and helpful.

The place offers a choice of typical regional snacks, such as slices of hard cheese, dried meat or dried sausage, as well as a selection of hot dishes or desserts. Prices are not the cheapest but acceptable for the location and quality.
