Slightly basic hotel. Room clean and warm and dry but fittings all a bit shoddy Eg curtain rails, sink cup holders, shower curtain all held on by one screw and would easily break. And shower only drained away when you pulled the entire drain unit out. 
The sauna was good ( but obscurely located) no dedicated boot room
In general all fine and I’d stay here again if I was here and needed a bed fir the night but I would not recommend  coming here to stay. The view probably is good but  there was low cloud and driving snow so we enjoyed that instead. Road stayed open due to frequent snow plough drive pasts by efficient Swiss highways maintenance people. 

Place to stay at the end of the Tour Jura Swiss 

The view is amazing, breakfast is good, the fondue was great, the rooms were big and clean. The staff was very caring.

They have a large range of roesti which is great for glutenfree / vegetarian options.

To sit on the terraces you order inside and they bring it. Great friendly service. Good arrived quickly. 

Roesti was very nice, a bit oily. Expect food that had been pre-prepared. 

Views of the alps are priceless

Great location, too basic facilities

Stayed at the Hotel La-Vue-des-Alpes for a hiking tour in the Jura Mountains. It's located between Neuchatel and La-Chaux-des-Fonds, closer to La-Chaux-des-Fonds. On a clear day, you have a beautiful view over the lake and to the Alpes.
We had room number 2 with own bathroom which was basic, but nice and clean. Staff was friendly, could speak only French though. Breakfast very basic, baguette, croissant, butter, and a small package of jam.

We were walking the Jura Crest Trail and finishing the latest stage at La Vue des Alpes so it was sensible to stay at the hotel on the pass. This hotel seems to be aimed at enthusiasts of outdoor pursuits and in this respect, it met our needs perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you are walking the Trial, then I would recommend staying here.

Comfortable enough hotel positioned directly on the Jura Crest Trail

Visited in February as part of a ski group. The restaurant was decent and the rooms were big and clean. However, we were put in the Annex and the rooms were incredibly cold - the small radiators unable to fend off the minus five temperature from outside. Not a comfortable stay, unfortunately.

Too cold in Annex

After a long day of hiking we decided to take the hotel back at the start of the hike. As my French is pretty limited I offered up English or German to communicate with the staff. “No, seulement francais” was the answer. We got a comfort room for two at 140 CHF. Whereas the room was clean (much appreciated) it was very basic. The shower hose leaked so much that there was more water coming out at the back then at the front. The beds had seen their best days long ago. 
As we had not eaten much during the day we decided to go to the restaurant. 
The food was ok (even though I was fooled by the fact that filet mignon in French actually refers to pork and not to beef), but the ambience in the restaurant was not very nice. One of the comments from another fellow TripAdvisor commentator described it quite well (no refurbishments made the last 30 years or so). 
I have to admit that I slept quite well because the room was quite cold, but the next negative experience came at breakfast when I wanted to get some muesli. I realize that we were some of the first guests after the Covid break, but still I did not expect the muesli to be held together by a web (assuming it was from a flour moth). Here my French skills definitely failed, but I showed the problem to the staff and I hope they did something about it. In any case, we checked out pretty quick after that never to return. 
I am really sad because of this experience. I do want to start staying at hotels now after the Corona break and support the hoteliers , but the least I expect is reasonable service and a basic room quality. Hotel La Vue des Alpes does not meet this requirement even though the view from the hotel is nice.
