Good breakfast, excellent dinner, possibility to shower at 1850m altitude, good beds, friendly personnel. Excellent base to visit the piora lakes. Clean place, washing basin in room, shared toilet and shower

Benissimo!

It's an exorbitant price for the service and the quality offered, and it's pretty much a bonus, the place isn't particularly nice, with a view of the dam wall, and I recommend a cabin if you'd like to eat well in an authentic mountainous setting, but the boss is nice and we're welcome...

As a last resort...

We stayed once. The accommodation is simple, clean and purposefully furnished. The rooms are in accordance with the information, don't forget it's a mountain resort. The food was good. The breakfast is simple but on demand you get enough supplies. You have to be aware that at this price you can't expect five walks with breakfast buffet. As a hiking starting point to recommend. The construction site can be disruptive but the host can't be held responsible for everything.

The simple accommodation in a wonderful hiking area.

On our multi-day hike, we spent one night at Lake Ritom. Unfortunately, there is a construction site at the moment with explosions that have shaken the mining house until 10:00 p.m. Not what you would expect from a trip to the mountains. The construction site is not mentioned on the website or in the booking confirmation. I think it's an essential restriction, we wouldn't have driven there if we knew how loud and ugly it is through the construction site. In the accommodation we didn't feel very well, the bedrooms were in a very simple pricey barracks with press spaces separated mini-rooms, brightly lit and unpacked. The shower rooms were very easy to load, which guaranteed us something to go down. There was, of course, nothing else to be added to the price of the shower, but the shower room was very nice, and the shower room was very convenient, and of course, the shower room was not too expensive for the rest of us.

Construction site directly next to the accommodation

Even though the accommodation is very modest, but very clean, the more friendly and friendly is Signor Luca and his team. We stayed for one night and were very happy. The dinner was very tasty and rich.

Travel

We were in the beautiful region of Ritom and stopped for lunch at the Ritom Lake shelter at the foot of the dam. Gentle staff, fast service and great food.

A satisfying stop

Apart from the place and the location the rest is to be avoided, less scarce and very salty, salumi sold as gold, the mixed dish yes and no 150 grams of salumi at 28 chf, a single slice of 80 grams of cheese (Alpe priora very good) 14 chf, once we have made known the small amount of portions the owner, in our opinion with little respect, as if he had a Michelin star, reiterates us saying that the worst cheese costs him 54 chf per kilo. Apart from the fact that we did not contest the price but the price, however speaking of the price of the pound quantity, continuing our walk, we bought it in a little distance from there and it cost us 40 chf per kilo... price to pay so the restaurant should treat it justly in a nice and respectful position, whoever wants to go out with a lot of respect and respect would come back to a place where he would like to go.

Absolutely avoidable

Restaurant service: After a long wait for ordering and staff of unfavorable service and foreign language (who understood neither Italian, nor French, nor German...), we were served with scrupulousness and poor professionalism, with a nice final surprise of a very salacious account!! A great shame to give this impression of Ticino to tourists, usually the reception is our strong point.

The place is very well situated for beautiful hikes and has a nice sunny terrace with mountain view. Unfortunately it is right next to a dam amd there’s no view at the lake even though it’s right next to it. What totally makes up for it is the very friendly and helpful staff, and the good food!

Very friendly staff and good food

The ambience has the charm of a low-floor garage. The rooms are located in a barracks behind the restaurant, which was probably made of residual materials. The tiny rooms have a sink without drinking water and a small window (no double glazing). You pay extra for a warm shower. Unfortunately, you have no view of Lake Ritom.
