Was planning on staying at Le Crans (big 5 star hotel), but opted for this quaint B and B in the beautiful little town of Chermingon - and we were NOT let down one bit. Wonderful room with great sheets/towels and mattress. Wonderful patio! Extremely quiet and peaceful stay just down the road from the busy and hectic town of Crans Montana. The breakfast and personal service was absolutely perfect. This historic town had so much more character than the big resort town, and was just a short drive away. Can't wait to return. The hosts couldn't have been any better.

CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN!

Just came back from a night there and I have to say, the room is beautiful but my stay has been ruined by the owner (women). 
If the rest of the staff was very kind, we've been welcome the worst way ever (I've never experienced that before).
 The owner came to "greet" us at the door by warning us straight away after a smileless hello that we'd better be on time at breakfast before 9:30 and that we'd better take well care of the room cause a student from our school apparently did not behave well in the past, and that for us the check out time would be 11 (instead of the normal time of 12) cause she might need more time to clean it after us, and no kidding said in a way a grandmother would lecture you after misbehaving really bad. 
As it was my first time here I was a bit shocked so I could not help but ask if this is the way she greets all her guests, which she answered me that no only people from my school as we apparently have bad reputation. So I asked why did she accept our reservation if its to obviously make us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable as soon as we arrive and she said she did not know we were from there. That night was a surprise from my boyfriend and we were both very excited about it, well thanks to her she just ruined our mood since arrival. After being lectured and criticised just because of the university we are studying in, we did not want to stay. The room was beautiful, though dusty and some black hair were to be found in the bathtub and in the bed. 
The room we had was well decorated but only for couple as there are no walls from the room to the bathroom (nor toilet) and the big bathtub is in the bedroom. 

The next morning, the women welcomed us to breakfast nicely and apologised for her behaviour but unfortunately I do not think it can change or make it up for such welcome and for ruining the start of our stay. Don't forget that us, "young people" are future potential customers and I guarantee you that my school will be informed of such behaviour towards us. Parents of students from my school also are potential customers for you and that is why I think that such behaviour is unprofessional, unacceptable, discriminative and simply rude. 

I am sure it can be a great place to stay otherwise but after such experience I will not recommend this place, god knows who else is she discriminating? (I don't want to know)

A beautiful room but horrible welcome

After a huge journey of 8 hours we arrived to an extremely warm welcome.  Followed by an excellent dinner and a little sampling of Swiss wines.
The two bedrooms were decorated differently and were very tasteful decorated Our room had a larger than normal bathroom area with a large bath and fantastic shower
The bed and linen were of a very good quality although the towels were a little on the small side.
Breakfast could not be faulted. Delicious freshly baked breads and pastries.  Selection of meats and cheeses. The cheese in particular were exceptional all from the local area.  Fresh fruit and berries and proper coffee. This is served in a very Swiss styled breakfast room. A great way to start the day.
We ate in the restaurant both nights and Chef came and explained the menu and everything was cooked and presented to perfection
David runs the restaurant and was a perfect host and his wife the bed and breakfast side of the business and they really wanted us to enjoy relax and enjoy our stay  nothing was too much trouble.
 We would highly recommend  this delightful up market bed and breakfast, and would definitely stay there again. 
The hotel is only a short drive from the golf club which is fantastic and if you get a birdie maple syrup and whiskey is order of the day!

A delightful stay

From the moment we arrived, Elisabeth made us feel most welcome. She has decorated both the two rooms very tastefully, and our room also had a small adjoining garden, which was a nice feature. The breakfasts were first class and, if the weather permitted it, served on the terrace opposite the B & B, from where the views are marvellous. What more could one want? Well, an adjoining restaurant perhaps, which is exactly what there is - please see my separate review of Café-Chermignon, which is run by Elisabeth and her husband David.

A Wonderful Stay

This was a wonderful stay in a quaint little village close to Crans Montana (less than 5 minutes drive to Crans). The rooms are beautifully decorated with lots of taste. The bed is very comfortable, the lights dim, there are candles by the bathtub side, super soft bathrobes... A really romantic place to stay and a great altnerative to the huge and expensive hotels in Crans. Breakfast is generous and fresh and delicious, you get everything from cereal to eggs to a fresh bowl of fruit salad. We did not have a chance to have dinner at the restaurant but it sure looked exquisite. Above and beyond everything, Elizabeth & her staff were unbelievably hospitable and helpful and kind. I would definitely stay here again - without a doubt this is a great address if you want a quiet retreat.
