The apartment was quite small, especially the bathroom (which was probably no more than 2sqm) and tiny kitchen. The apartment was however clean but it was way too warm, especially at night and we could not regulate the heating system. The location is ok as Zermatt is small however it was still min 10 min walk from the restaurants and 15 min from the station so we had to walk on the way with the suitcases and ski equipment while the main street was covered with snow.
When we arrived at the property, there was no reception so we had to call the owner to collect the keys. This was not mentioned in the booking confirmation. We also had to pay as soon as we booked even if we were coming only 2 months later - most of the hotels do not request a payment so early which I found inappropriate.
But the worst was the host. She was extremely unfriendly at many occasions and the worst came when we left and i asked for my ID back as she simply denied that she requested it upon our arrival. My co-traveller confirmed that she asked for it and she started screaming at me, said that we were both liars and when i asked her if she could check if she had it in her apartment, she refused. She probably lost it and to be honest we can all make mistakes but the way she reacted was a complete "No Go". As a result I had to go to the police and do another ID: Great weekend!!!
I have been in Zermatt many times and always got very friendly and welcoming hosts. I am also travelling a lot for work and I can say, without any doubt, that she was the worst, aggressive, unfriendly host I ever met. I am "happy" to see that another person mentioned it in his comment. My best advice: DO NOT BOOK THERE!!!!!!

Unpleasant experience and very rude host

Having travelled a lot, this stay was the worst accommodation experience ever!
The room was the most uncomfortable: too hot with no way to adjust the temperature, completely flat pillows, thick duvets with no other bedding options available. It was indeed the worst sleep quality we've experienced ever! 
The bathroom was tiny without even a small towel warmer, so no option to dry the clothes after skiing. It was self-catering, but had barely any kitchen equipment, half of the stove was not functional (and tiny too), no microwave either. But the worst part of that experience, was the host/owner - the most unwelcoming, rude and unfriendly person we've met. Would highly suggest to avoid this property at all costs!

Most unpleasant experience

We usually spend our winter holidays in Zermatt but we had always stayed in a hotel so, this year, we have given a try to an apartment.
Haus Perelia is pretty well located: only two minutes by feet from the church and no more than 5 minutes from the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise lift. 
We had a small apartment on the second floor right in front of the owner's flat.
Despite being the smaller, actually it accomodates only 2 people, it was spacious, with a sofa in front of the window with a balcony, a queen bed and a kitchenette. All the furniture was almost new and clean. Great view from both windows. The bathroom isn't spacious but it works.
Only soap is provided, so you have to bring all the extras (shampoo, hair conditioner, make up remover, etc.).
No meals are included. 
On our arrival the host wasn't at home, we had been warned, but in the evening she came to check if everything was ok.  
WiFi was a little bit slow.
No extra services are included (spa, pool, etc.).
The only down side is that the owner require a pre-payment in CHF from your bank account so, unless your account is in CHF, you have to pay a quite high extra amount for taxes and commissions.
