My wife and I had just arrived in Zurich after a short drive from Vaduz on a very warm August afternoon. That is the perfect reason to go exploring, find a spot with a great view, and order some wine. My wife and I did just that. What we didn't expect was to get such a hard-working and pleasant young man as our waiter. We came to Storchen as it was near our hotel and had a great view of the river and one of the amazing churches. We ordered a bottle of the Cuvee Storchen at the recommendation of Federico di Marco. The wine lived up to the recommendation and then some. While my wife and I loved relaxing, people watching, enjoying the view, and more, we were also thrilled by both the pleasantness of this young man as well as how hard he worked serving other tables. It seemed like he was the only one on duty. All in all, the atmosphere was great. While very warm outside, the outdoor seating is shaded in the later afternoon. We had a great first afternoon in Zurich. Thank you, Federico!
