We stayed at sea view room for 3 nights.  The room is spacious and was very clean.  Bed is very comfy.  The beach across the hotel is only 2 minutes walk but not suitable for swimming.  We had a good time every evening sitting at the balcony watching sunset and walking on the beach in the morning.  There is a water machine on every floor for hot, warm and cold water. Also, free self serve laundry is available with laundry detergent provided.  The location is great.  It takes 3 minutes walk to Kenting Night Market along an alleyway next to the hotel.  A local breakfast place is next door.  Bus stop from Kaohsiung is about 5 to 10 walk from the hotel.   Staffs are very friendly and helpful.  Will stay again next time visiting in Kenting.

Had a great room at the front,  top floor so fantastic view from the little balcony.  Massive double bath (very cool), huge funky blue room. Very clean. Didn't take a breakfast option, just went out. Close to main street but in a nice quiet spot.

Room size: The size of the room was really big, more than enough. You could open your suitcase easily on the floor and there was lots of free space left. The bathroom was also spacy. The bathroom is separated by a milk glass door, not lockable, and a huge clear window from the room. By this you can see the sea from the bath tub but you’d also have to shut a blind on the window if you’re going to the bathroom and are accompanied by a not so close friend.
Cleanliness: Everything was very clean (no stains, no hair on the bed, no dust anywhere to be found). In the bathroom, there was no mold. A little sand was left in the room after housekeeping. Housekeeping came in every day if requested at the front desk, emptied the bins. Though housekeeping did not walk into my room I was missing signs to indicate whether the room was occupied or ready to be cleaned and if the towels should be changed or not.
Interior: In room: Floor tiles, curtains, wardrobe, mirror and small worktop, refrigerator for own use (no mini bar), kettle without the electric base (so not working, but cold and hot water was available at water dispenser on each floor in the hall), two armchairs and a small glass table, big double bed, flat screen TV (few English channels), many lights including colored LEDs, Instructions for AC, TV and WiFi in Chinese. Bathroom: Floor tiles, Jacuzzi, regular Western style toilet, big lavatory, towel rag right above the toilet (not so good).
General: 24hr reception, one elevator (sufficient in my opinion), free water from dispenser on each floor, free water bootles from the fridge in the front hall, free coffee machines in the front hall, washing machine in the basement (no dryer).
Wifi: free, quite fast, but with restricted access to block sites that the provider declares for “adults only” and so blocked even some other sites. 
Missing: Channel list, a safe in the room, English instructions for the Air Conditioning, the base for the kettle, tumble dryer
Amenities Free tea and instant coffee, bathrobe, toothbrush and paste. Coffee and cold water bottles in the front hall. 
Staff: Staff was really young and only one of them was speaking sufficient English to communicate in a proper way. So, communication was hard and sometimes only worked with the mobile phone as translator. Still they have tried their best. Unfortunately, the recommended bar had already been closed for good, just to give you an example. All in all, friendly and supportive but sometimes not helpful. 
Breakfast: A basket of breakfast was brought to your room each morning and the service staff rang your door bell to hand you the breakfast. Time was settled with the front desk and could be changed according to your wishes if you ask for it. Unfortunately, you were not asked for any preferences and I’m not sure if any wishes could be granted or not. First day I was having a big sandwich with peanut butter, some eggs and fruit or tomatoes. The next days one part of the breakfast always was some kind of warm (not hot anymore) fast food, either chicken nuggets, fried chicken breast or omelet, all covered in ketchup and/or soy sauce. Breakfast came with milk, boiled eggs and some fruit or tomatoes each day. I would have preferred coffee or milk tea and a sandwich from time to time.
Location: The hotel is situated between the Kenting street market and a beach, not directly adjacent to the road, so rather quiet but still central. The beach is across the street and a parking but you are not allowed to swim there because there is no life guard and undercurrents can be strong. To go to the beach where you can swim you’ll have to do a 20 minutes’ walk. Else you should know that this small town/village of Kenting street market is not very big and so you might want to rent a scooter to move around the south a bit. To get to the close bus stop in Kenting you’ll have to take a 2 hours bus ride from Kaohsiung, where you’ll find an airport and the terminus of the High Speed Train. 
Cost-value-ratio: On the one hand, the room itself is big, the location is central and the non-swimming beach is close as well and so really worth some money. On the other hand, the service and breakfast is not worth the price. All in all, it could be a bit cheaper and you’ll surely find cheaper hotels of about same value if you don’t hesitate to look on Chinese’ sites as well.

The good points ( room 202):
Nice staff, big room, whirlpool, balcony, close to the beach, free use of washing machine, refrigator in room.
The bad points:
Mold in the bathroom, not good cleaning, whirlpool, furnitures..they were worn out, quite old. The sofa actually was broken and was dirty. The balcony was full of dust, so its not inviting for sitting outside. Unfortunately there not really a seaview as the trees a high. Internet was average. Very strange breakfast..very cheap when you think of paying more than 100 usd per night. They bring you a basket with 2 sandwiches, half an orange, few cherry tomatos and sweet ice tea. Thats it.
Room Service is done everyday but only the bed was made. Crumbs from breakfast were not cleaned and the bathrobes still were laying on chairs.

Usually we had room all over in Taiwan for not more than 50 usd and all of them were clean. Breakfast Buffet and cared for.

Not recommendable. Sorry.

Very poor for this price

I stayed in this hotel alone (as the lady could not come along) for two nights, and have to say it was overall an enjoyable stay. You can get there by taking the express bus from Kaohsiung and getting off at Chateau Hotel (xia-du), then walking along the road a little, turn right into another road after the McDo and walking along that road for a bit. It is possible that you can get out one stop further, but I did not want to risk it, personally.

(You can get to Kaohsiung from Taipei via the High Speed Rail [HSR], taking the bus from the terminal station in Kaohsiung. Or, from Taipei airport, take the shuttle bus to the closest HSR station, and take the train from there.)

I got a room on the second floor, relatively close to the lobby. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable. The room included a TV with quite a few channels, including about 10 English-language ones (no channel guide, but I don't find that to be an issue). The hotel was quiet enough, I had no issues with noise at any time.

The bathroom was a positive surprise - it is quite spacious for this size of hotel, bigger actually than the ones you get at Chateau Hotel down the road. 

Breakfast can be had two house down the road - you get a voucher from the hotel for the breakfast there. You have the choice between three foods - sandwich, burger or mixed. I am not a breakfast person, so again no issue there, just right. The only peeve was that the breakfast place did not have coffee at all, just a (rather sweet) black tea.

The staff was friendly, even though they only had very limited knowledge of English we managed to communicate fine. They even asked if I wanted the room cleaned - since I was alone, and only staying two nights, I found it a waste and said no. 

Overall, very good value-for-money.

Nice little hotel close to the sea

you cannot beat the location. the hotel is on a quiet street but is only 1 min from the main street of kenting. the seaview of the room is good. 

the decor is modern. but the toilet is smelly and requires a major clean up.
