the hostel is conveniently located near the bus stop and is easily accessible. there are restaurants around the area and the night market is right outside the hostel. each bed comes with a safe storage space that can be opened only with a room key. the bathrooms are clean and spacious. the staff are very helpful and resourceful! would stay again if i go back to kenting!

great stay in kenting

Kenting Bunk Hostel is very central, right at the bus stop, and close to a few beaches. all restaurants and the night market are around. Breakfast is good, offers variety. Also free snack all day, that is really nice. The bed are comfortable, it is very dark in the room. Each bed some big storage space that is locked with the room key, so very safe. Common area is on top balcony, good space to chill and meet the other travelers. Bathroom are clean, and the wifi was perfect the entire stay. And the staff, super friendly!

Best Place to stay in Kenting

The hostel is only a three minutes’ walking distance away from the Kenting Arch Bus Station (牌樓站 Pai Lou Zhan) which is the station you alight at if you are taking the Kenting Express Bus from Kaohsiung Airport.

Even though the hostel is along the bustling Kenting Night Market and it was fully booked during a music festival, it was very quiet in the evening and I did not bump into anyone when I am at the restroom and shower area. 

Although there is a common area on the third level of the hostel, there is not much of an atmosphere where people sit around and socialize.

Remember to bring along your towel as it is not provided (you would need to buy one). 

Tip: if you do not plan to rent a scooter or take the public transport (the frequency of buses in Kenting is rather low and the drivers do not stop for you unless you give a signal to them), the hostel offers shared transport to the tourist attractions (NT700 per pax). I did not take this package as I had previously made other arrangements.



Quiet and clean

This place is approximately $25 AUD per night and is a great little hostel. It’s right near the Kenting Express bus stop and on the main road amongst the night markets which is really convenient. It’s a five minute walk from Kenting beach also. The place itself has a cool modern sort of industrial design with mixed and female only dorms with individual capsule style bunks, with lockable luggage storage areas beneath the beds. The beds themselves were rock hard which is a standard Asian thing, but not my thing, and I didn’t sleep great. Bathrooms were spotless with great showers and high quality products. I did not like having to pay for a towel. Breakfast was simple and plentiful with decent coffee, and snacks were available throughout the day. Highly recommended.

A great hostel 

Stayed here 3 nights. It's located at the very beginning of the main street where the night market is. Very close to the entrance to the national park. There's a bus stop within 100m.

Stayed in the 5 bed room. The beds are capsule style - very comfortable and clean. The room had a lot of open space. The only issue I could see was that the personal storage/lockers are located underneath the bottom beds. They're opened with the key card which can be pretty loud when unlocking. And the doors open upwards. Both these things could bother the person sleeping in that bed. To avoid this I just left my main stuff out against the wall. 

The showers and bathrooms were clean. Hot water was good. 

They served a decent breakfast - it was vegetarian. It was better than the ones offered by the other places I stayed at in Taiwan (which was mainly just bread and coffee). They had coffee, tea, and a juice. And some instant noodles. Breakfast also started around 7/7:30, which was nice for me since I like to start early.

Great location and clean hostel

This hostel is located in Kenting with the bus stop just next to it. So from Kaohsiung it was very easy. The recreational park is just across the street. My son and I walked there, it was quite a long walk but you can always rent a scooter or take a taxi.
The beach is from a walking distance, but when we were there we couldn't swim in the sea cause it was too strong.
The hostel itself is very clean and comfy, the breakfast amazing, the common aerea is a nice place too chill, and the staff is great and helpful !
