Highly recommended!  Comfortable and in a great location, less than 10 minutes walk from train station and easy to get around. Staff was very helpful and friendly, willing to give information for transportation, traffic, food, or anything being asked. We stayed in a double bedroom and it's simple, pleasant and clean with a very reasonable price. Fast wifi in the room, clean showers and welcoming atmosphere. Booking is available via emails (seen from their blog and facebook), we did so and it's fast & efficient. They usually don't charge people booking fee or ask for deposit before you come, which is really convenient for us, don't get them stood up or give them a NO-SHOW after they keep the room for you, hope they won't decide to cancel this in the future because of some irresponsible random decision makers.

Great Location, Friendly Staff, Simple and Clean Place. Easy to book

The place itself if quite hard to find. If you are coming from the train station, you have to exit the station from the back. Roads are quite confusing but my partner and I took a cab anyways.
Arrived at the Minsu and Uncle says that we was waiting for our call as they DO provide pickup from station. 
Greeted by extremely friendly aunty who insisted to carry my heavy luggage up the stairs. 
We stayed at the 3rd floor (double room) and the room is HUGE. Very nicely decorated , new and big TV , along with a balcony. 
There is also a guest book on the shelves. So don't forget to input your entry.
Aunty brought us some fresh papaya which is very kind. 
It was my partner's birthday the next day and I had planned a dinner at Dos Tacos. Aunty immediately said they will take us there. Again, a very kind gesture. 
The only down side was that the room we booked has no connecting toilet. The private toilet is outside the room. It was still alright since there was no one else and we could (shamelessly) make use of the area outside our room to have hot tea etc. 

We left a bag of brown sugar tea meant as a gift to uncle and aunty. And they called agoda to inform the item being left behind. 
I would come back next time.

Clean, big affordable minsu. 

I stayed Taiwan in the last two months. Mainly travelling around Hualien and Taitung. Had been stayed at this hostel for 3 times already!! It's just 7 min walk from the train station, just go straight to almost the end of the road then you'll see a huge red signs 'HOME' in a white building on your right. I've stayed in the double room and the backpackers' bed too. Both are really clean and comfy. Prices are cheap!! Especially love the drawings on the walls. The common area is spacious with the huge bean bags chairs. Take my advice, don't lie on them or else you could hardly get up....because they are so comfortable that I even fell asleep more than once!! Hahaha~ Benjamin, the host is an excellent accompany, telling you all sorts of great attractions and with his own secret spots! Even showed you around with his motorbike when he's free. This is no doubts what a perfect hostel, just make you feel like HOME!! Highly recommended to everyone ~
