Hi travellers, 

We stayed in this lovely family hotel 🏨 during our visit. The room and toilet were clean, japanese sorta frame bed. Alls well till our 3rd night, came back and greeted by strong smell of cigarette smoke. 

Apparently one of the next door room guest was smoking and we shared the same air conditioning vent thus the smell floated over to our room. 

The hotel claims to have a no smoking 🚭 policy yet they were unable to do anything and only provided us with an air humidifier which only made the smell worse. We attempted to open the windows at one point but shut it close as it was a hot night and we wanted to avoid mosquitos. 

As a result, we did not sleep well and had to abandon our plans the next morning so that we can rest in the day. In the morning, housekeeping were kind to clean the room and change the bedsheets but the smell lingers still and you guess it, the neighbour continued to smoke. It seems there are no smoke detector in our room too.

In a nutshell, not 🛑 advisable for guests with asthmatic issues thus beware. 

Clean but disappointed on 2nd last day of stay 

It is not a luxurious hotel, but there is everything. The most important is that the hotel is clean. The location is excellent. It is close to MRT station and shopping malls. The 65 building is within a walking distance. There was no restaurant in hotel, but there are many eateries nearby.

Comfortable room

The southern part of Taiwan has many motels and hostels and so technically getting accomm for a night isn't a challenge. The challenge comes with it fits your budget and is comfortable/safe enough to your expectations. I had thought this was a budget hotel (as in those which operates out of the entire building) but it turned out to be just a hostel operating out of one level of a private housing block. Almost like a scaled up version of AirBnB. So while you check in at a shopfront, you'll get led to the back alley to take the lift to the second floor, to enter a corridor where the space is cut up into many small rooms. Naturally acoustics is bad. I'm glad I had a corner room so while the room is tiny, at least I'm kept away from the noise most of the time. Room didn't have a window so it was quite claustrophobic after staying in the room for 4hours to get my work done. Room had mosquitoes but they also provided electric mosquito repellent so it wasn't that bad and I could sleep well at night. Location wise, it is very convenient, just 5mins walk from MRT and the shopping mall. Near couple of bus stops. No washing machines and the nearest laundromat isn't near too. They have no place for you to wash up after you check out (most of the hostels/hotels I have been have a common toilet for people to refresh themselves pre/post flight), so try not to get yourself too dirty before a long flight home.

Super budget hostel

A great hotel that is clean, cheap and convenient to MRT and shopping centre.  My room was of a good size and with a big bathroom.  Staff spoke enough english to be able to answer any problems or questions.  Rooms are very quiet so a good nights sleep is able to be had.  Family Mart next door. A 7 storey  Shopping Centre is also next door.  Free Wifi.
I will return next time when in Kaohsiung

Cheap, clean and convenient

Somebody recommended the hotel as it was close to the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center and it was a very good surprise. Great beds and sparkly clean and comfortable. If you’re looking for a good night sleep and a nice place to spend a couple of nights, this is your hotel.
