After three years, we are here again for a family vacation!!! This time with an additional family member, one year old baby😂😂😂😂😂 ,  this place is the most comfortable place besides home where we have ever been for vacations, even we had our father with a wheelchair and a baby getting along with, we were still having a very fantastic time.

Location
Positives: Right next to beach. If you like quiet and peace and also sense of remoteness these are positives.
Negative: Far to everything, market, food, city, ferry.

Cleanliness: Awful! we stayed for 4 nights and there was no collection of trash from rooms, no towel changes, no sweeping of the floors in rooms or in common areas. Beach in front of the hotel has trash carried by waves and ZERO effort to make the beach attractive and clean. It has an abandoned feel to it. During our stay the hotel trash sit outside the building and the trash and the beach attracts quite a lot of flies and it makes it uncomfortable to spend time at the beach or in front of hotel.

There is no breakfast at the hotel and the owner or the worker of the hotel does only care of collecting money for hotel lodging and also the commission they can collect from the guests' shopping on the island. That is why, one feels to be always on defense because there is constant proposals to do this and to buy that coming from the owner. If a guest comments about improvement to service, the care taker at the hotel attempts to help with half heart and it is clearly visible the objective isn't service but make the most money from a guest. We found great beaches at the island and if one has a car or a scooter, there is no need to spend so much money to stay here to go to a beach. The trip adviser's high rating was misleading as we used it to stay there and this needs to be addressed.

Disappointing experience

I enjoyed staying here. people are nice and the owners' daughter speak English well and very helpful and no problem communicate with them. The kids are very cute also. They help planning sightseeing. You need motorcycle to look around which they also help to find one. Overall great people nice place!

Lover's Bay is really a very fantastic place, and indeed a very nice place with an awesome beach having crystal clear sea water we have ever been.  The service is excellent and all our family did have an unforgettable trip!!!! Love that place! It's the best!

fantastic place to stay in Penghu

First of all, this is NOT a hotel construction. Rather a big house that gives you a room and treats you like a hotel.

My mother came to visit me in Taiwan for a couple of days and at some point she wanted to go solo to some of the outer islands. She can speak no Mandarin and the plan was to go to Makong just to spend some days at the beach. However, the owners of this place decided that they could take her on their own vehicle to get to know the Penghu archipelago a lot further. They did charged for the guide and transport, but it was really nice to have the offer in the table since apparently the only reliable way to move there is by renting your own scooter.

Mesmerizing solo trip

Great cozy B&B located at quiet part of the island. The building is right at the beach and it feels almost private. 
Very quiet and the water is crystal clear. 
Michael is the B&B manager and he will pick you up at the airport. You should rent a scooter anyways and Michael will help you. 

Great location and great place to spend the weekend or a week long. 
I wish I could spend more time.
I highly recommend.
