The location was perfect, it was far from the busy market. The room was value for money, the room and bathroom was small, but we didn't mind since we just need a place to put our bags and get some sleep after the a whole day of going around Jiufen. The window of our room was overlooking the mountains which is a good sight to see when we woke up. Breakfast was simple, we got bread, eggs and milk tea. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and will definitely book at this place again if we plan to go back to Juifen.

Value for money

The check-in went smooth and in perfect English, we could easily pay by credit card (not as self-evident as one might think in Taiwan..) and the staff also gave us valuable info about the best tea houses and restaurants. The rooms were small but cozy (they are located in a different building, 3min walk away from the reception), everything you need is provided. The complimentary breakfast is more like a morning snack (boiled egg, two slices of baguette and a milk tea carton), but it’s a nice gesture. 

Cozy place with quiet rooms

I booked the comfort room so was not expecting a mattress on the floor, nor a hand towel as my only towel. It was adequatly clean and the wifi was reliable and it was cheap. Breakfast was two slices of french bread and a boiled egg  all arrived warm and fresh, and a boxed milk tea. For the price, I guess it was OK

A new level of basic

I was disappointed as the photos on the website are too good to be true. The room and bathroom are dirty and too small. The shower is above the toilet, so it always gets wet. The bed sheet made me feel itchy. All facilities are low quality. Have to walk further to another dark and small alley to get to another building. No parking and never tell, even you asked in advance. Comparing the price and quality, consider overpricing. I would not recommend to anyone. The worst hotel that I’ve ever been in. No more again. Would pay a bit more for better quality to another hotel.

Dirty small ugly rooms. Overprice

We stayed there for 2 nights. The room was small and it smelled bad. They never cleaned the room. There were no bath towels, only two small hand towels. We had a "view" of a wall. The breakfast was ok, but nothing special. 

Not good stay, not a value for the money

Was at Jiufen for my monthsary but the view at our room was blocked by a construction site beside our room.

Was disappointed because the pictures showed otherwise. The bed sheets also made me feel itchy.

However, the wifi was fast and the staff was friendly.

Overall, value for money.

Spacious room, but bad view

Very friendly staff! We got upgraded from two rooms to the large room with 1 Queen sized bed and 1 king sized bed at no extra charge. It had a nice balcony overseeing part of Jiufen. Bathroom had a nice rain shower head! Manager whipped up a complimentary and tasty breakfast for us and was very friendly in telling us where to go in Jiufen. She also organised private transport to nearby towns and back to Taipei for a good price. Only downsides were a croakcroch we saw in the room, bed sheets which felt a bit itchy and the steep slopes to the back door (but kind of expected in Jiufen).
