This is a lovely Jiufen B&B steps away from old street and ah mei teahouse. The room is clean and tastefully decorated.Beds are firm and comfortable. Room comes with aircon and heater. 
Jiufen old street is easily accessible up a steep flight of stairs and you come up to the middle section of the old street. Amei tea house and the old theatre are 3mins away on another steep flight of stairs downwards. 
Breakfast was traditional taiwanese porridge with many side dishes. We had it in a bright sunny dining room of the owner. The food was well presented and delicious. 
It was a very comfortable stay and will highly recommend this place ( only for folks who can manage stairs).
Do not bring your big luggages as there were many narrow steep stairs to negotiate. This place is a little hard to find on your own. We called ahead and got the lady owner to meet us in the main road.

Cosy clean and comfortable jiufen b&b

This is an excellent homestay with the owner cooked (taiwanese) breakfast. The feeling was so special and warm. The boss, husband and wife, chat with us over the breakfast and shared their life experience. Location is great, quite and yet near the old street. we will go back again.

Excellence Homestay with Personalised Experience

The B&B is located at mid-level, I called the owner to meet us as we can’t locate it.  The owner is very nice, she showed us the place for breakfast, our room as well as the quickest way to Old Street.  The Old Street is right behind the B&B, which is accessible by taking a few steps through the alley.  The breakfast offered is traditional Taiwan style, neat and not oily.

Nice B&B and easy access to Old Street

在元宵節前一天到訪，司機找不到住處，楊姐親自到路口來接我們。房間精致及整潔。

最棒的是早餐，主人及行政主廚，張大哥親自到瑞芳市場買菜回來做早飯。早飯全是現煮現做；飯後張大哥還會泡一壼普洱茶，真的很棒。

絕對值得推薦！

Come here a day before lantern festival. Our driver can’t find the place and the hostess “elder sister Yeung” personally come to pick us. This homestay is very nice and clean. 

The most fantastic part is the breakfast. The host also the chef goes to the market in Ruei Fang himself to buy all the food himself and makes the breakfasts. All the foods are homemade and fantastic. After the breakfast, the host Cheung made a pot of Puer tea for us.

Fantastic experience! Jiu Fen Homestay. Warm and nice

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, spacious and contained everything we needed. The breakfast was amazing and the hosts were so hospitable and offered some great recommendations. We'll definitely stay again.

Fabulous B&B!

Arriving by Uber, our family of 4 stayed at Chien Ching B&B for two nights in a quadruple room (large room with two queen beds). The room was simple with cute local Jioufen style decor. The B&B was located in a great location, just a couple of minutes walk to the old street. The best things about this B&B besides the location was the kindness of the owners/hosts and the delicious full traditional Taiwanese breakfast that was provided. It’s a challenge to find an actual sit down restaurant that serves dishes in the area, as the old street is filled with street snack food, so it was awesome to start the day with an actual meal. The hosts were super accommodating and very friendly. We would stay here again.

Delicious Full Traditional Taiwanese Breakfast

Stay in this bed and breakfast for 1 night.  Pls call the owner once you arrival, since the location is a little difficult to find. 
Nice and cosy rooms. Very clean.  Love the warm heater device in the toilet.   
Location is at jiufen old street. Many stairs to climb though.  Hahaha... 
owner and her family are very friendly.  Love the home cook breakfast she prepared... 
able to use wechat to communicate with the owner.   
Two thumbs up!!


Home stay with a difference.   

Room was very clean, good location that very easy to get access to market street and old tea house, warm welcome from host, fantastic breakfast from lovely family that make me feel like mom cook at home. 

Highly recommend to stay here!!
