This review is simple enough to write - it was awesome! We came to the hotel with intention of staying one night only, and it took us only about half an hour to settle down, that we're staying a night longer even though it meant loosing a full deposit in other hotel. Hotel is run by a very nice couple of former headmaster of the school and his wife in a remote area overlooking Puli. Owner came to pick us all up to the bus stop, for a little price drowe us anywhere we wanted to go the next day, and even shown us something we'd never see without a guide. Rooms were nice and clean, everything prepared for us. Huge livingroom, kitchen, and great (self-made) garden made the stay even better. What can we say, it was very nice place to stay, and we're looking forward to spend some time there again if we come back to Taiwan one day.

Awesome accomodation

Puli Pines - a special kind of tree whose leaves are edible (to make juice) and is claimed to have anti-oxidant elements.  The 1st time I came to Puli Pines Garden ("PPG") was in July 2012.  I could still remember that the freshness of the garden, the greenery of the Puli Pines and the intimacy with mother nature.  

Throughout the past years, I have developed a habit of staying in PPG every time I came to Taichung.  Why?  Because I want to get restored and refreshed from the greenery that surrrounded my bedroom.  (it's a room with long windows where you could just touch the trees and you might think that you are living in a modernized tree house).  Through the pampering of mother nature, I enjoyed the tranquility of this place (well, the birds at your windows will wake you up punctually) and the time to reflect on my inner voice.  Every time I stayed in PPG, I got revitalized.

Apart from the perfect ambiance, I also enjoyed the "tailor-made" cuisine  - breakfast and dinner (dinner is optional, breakfast is included in the room charges).  The owners are a couple who is very dedicated in making "healthy" food.  They would design a special menu that matches the needs of your body with seasonal fruits, rice and other traditional herbs.  All these have the sole purpose of making you look young and healthy.  From the perspective of traditional Chinese wisdom, a healthy body comes from healthy intake of food in accordance with 4 seasons of the year.  The "tailor-made" cuisine really captivates my heart. 

Lastly, it is the friendliness of the owners that allures me most.  Mr. LEUNG, the father of the family is  a retiree. He is very compassionate on sharing his favourite hobbies with you - Chinese tea serving and coffee-making.  The coffee beans are grown from the nearby area and its flavour is very unique - sweet and smooth (a kind of coffee beans that got the 2012 World Coffee Award - 1st runner-up). 

So, to conclude, I am now planning for my next stay in PPG.  Why I like it that much?  Because every time I stay in PPG, I got restored and revitalized.

From Tai-Chung High Speed Rail Station to PU-Li Bus station, just 50 mins by Bus.
Free pick up service from PU-Li Bus station, around 10 mins.

Very clear and quiet place with 2 lovely dogs, and there   have a small fish pool.

The best vegetarian breakfast I have. 
It's Taiwanese style， of cause with free coffee.
Free wifi.
There have a golf course close to, just NT$300 for 9 holes.
(Prepare more balls, no store over there)
There have a big house for 13 people with own living room, kitchen. 
A very wonderful vegetarian restaurant nearby, 3 mins by car.

The best Vegetarian breakfast 

We stayed with a couple of friends at Nantou Puli Pines Garden Homestay last January. The premises are modern, spatious and comfortable, surrounded by woods, and benefit from a great view on the deep valley overlooking Puli. The owner's family was extremely kind and attentive, and served us an awewome traditional taiwanese breakfast. Great experience!

Beautiful Homestay

The "Room & Board " likely the word "Working Holiday" means someone working here,so the host provide a simple lodging to someone.The special experience of hostel in Puli,The working almost  clean the rooms, or gardening ,even sometime to fix anything. The chance of working make me understand everything ,because of the things if you don't meet ,you won't be growing,
the all member is very kind ,even sometimes you were unhappy, you could share your moods for them, so you could be happy.
I am nineteen- year- old- boy ,I have a recommendation for everyone that giving yourself a challenge to join the"Room & Board" The hostel is famous with a lot of landscape of mountains 
and the rich of breakfast , If you miss the chance to visit the beautiful area, you won't understand the describe of the beauty.
