Family owned and every member worked hard to make sure guests were well taken care of.   Seems to be a favourite place amongst Singaporeans.  Weather was unexpectedly pleasant during our 2 nights stay in December.  The views from our room balcony were amazing.  The stargazing session at the rooftop was conducted with much enthusiasm and we truly enjoyed it very much.  Breakfast was simple but adequate. Well recommended.

Fantastic views and amazing Stargazing!

Went during mid dec and was worry about the room having no heater. But the room was just nice with the temperature similar to a normal aircon room and there is heater in the bed. Hot water for shower was constant. Room is very clean. No lift. We use the slope for luggage and only few steps for carrying the luggage. Best part is the star gazing at 830pm and we are lucky enough to have the clouds cleared and saw a few shooting stars!!!! Such luck!!! In the morning, we saw the clouds within the mountain! Very pretty view!!! Breakfast was simple but tasted good. As we hired a driver, we didnt need to walk out to the complex for dinner, but the road do look v dark and very narrow at night.

Great stay!

Owner v friendly n helpful but not the female owner. Simple but tasty breakfast provided. Free Star-gazing in the hotel.  Hotel is old but averagely maintain. Bathroom v slippery, dangerous for elderly. Hotel shd provide better quality room slipper, too thin & slippery. A 5-10 walk from town to hotel, luckily owner kind enough to fetch us to hotel, easier for our elderly mum. Thank u Terry (owner) 🥰

A comfortable stay with great view if u request for a room with balcony 🥰

great view on the rooftop and the open area. unblock and breathtaking view of the sunset. rooms are ok but the owner are very friendly and helpful. the star gazing tour are a must attend event on the rooftop. reading the star and seeing the beautiful night in the sky.

fantastic view of cingjing and star gazing tour

The property is located at great scenic location , where clouds , moon and mist visit ur balcony. Very well kept property and the hosts ( Terry and his family ( includes very obedient dog and cool cat) made our stay very comfortable). Must visit place for the exclusive view from the property.

Amazingly Beautifulplace

Located at the top of the mountain Qingjing, weather is cooling and view is awesome! Room with balcony is great to enjoy the beautiful scenery. No air-con in the room, only electric fan. Staff is friendly, a memorable experience of the stay. 

Beautiful mountain view 

I loved Terri and his family. They were very warm and welcoming. The daily breakfast was great! We loved the milk tea, eggs, and rolls. The location sat back far enough from the main road, which made it feel more remote and private than being located on the busy highway. It was walking distance to Qingjing Farm, 711, Swiss Garden, and many restaurants. The rooms were average. There was no A/C, but there was an oscillating table fan. The TV worked great - we loved the HBO and Cinemax channels in English. The pillows were super comfortable and bed was nice. The room felt kind of basic, or sterile. I think some plants or thoughtful touches could have made it more cozy. We unfortunately were located near a smoking patio/area that made our room stay very uncomfortable. I would recommend moving the designated smoking area to be further from the guests lodging. Would stay again - great bang for buck! 

Good Hotel with Great Views!

This is one of the best Minsu I have stayed in Taiwan. There are many such B&B places scattered around CingJing. Some of them you have to drive deep inside to access. Star Villa is a good balance of an amazing location with awesome views without having to need a car to reach. The staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. The owner of the Minsu actually helped carry one of our bags to the room, given it was slightly drizzling and we have a small child with us. We were also given a room with an amazing view of the mountains and a perfect place to watch the sunset. At night, you can go watch stars on the top balcony of the hotel. They even have someone with a laser pointer to guide us in identifying the stars. On a clear night it is truly amazing seeing all the stars. I'd highly recommend anyone going to Cingjing to stay here.

Amazing views - fantastic staff

Very friendly welcome and check in procedure. Although the road to the hotel is quite tight and not accecibke by bus. 
The room has no heater but the hot shower and electric heated blanket is good enough. The room is clean and comfortable

The view is amazing from the room and if the sky is clear it will be perfect for stargazing. 

Superb family hotel

A simple B&B run by a family. Stargazing was one of the must-do in this accom. Booked 3 rooms in total, 2 with balcony. Imagine waking up to the morning sun with mountainous and misty view! Chilling by the balcony breathing the crisp cold fresh air.

Room was clean and relatively spacious. Although the room looked aged, it has been well maintained. Breakfast was provided. 

7-11 convenience store and eateries were a short 5min walk but pls activate ur phone torchlight as it gets dark with limited roadside lighting. Swiss Garden and Starbucks were accessible via a wooden trail but it gets really dark with absolutely no lighting. 5 of us carried torchlights from our phones. 

Remember to close the netting by ur doors/windows when u are not in ur room to prevent visits from bees and bugs. Remember to join the complimentary stargazing tour hosted by the owner at 9pm (not sure if it's daily).
