Me and my friends spent 4 days and 3 nights at Taipei. The manager and staff were friendly. They require you to put your shoes outside your room and they will provide you slippers instead. The room is quite small for luggage, but the bed is so big. Even though the room that we got is for 4 people, I think 6 people would fit the bed. (It is double deck)

They also allow you to leave your luggage even when you already checked out and you're still going to explore Taipei. 

The bathroom is common but it is still clean.  Aside from the small space for luggage, everything else was okay. :)

Affordable Hostel

If you want to stay somewhere near Taipei Main Station, this hostel is perfect. It's just around 5-7 minute walk from Taipei Main Station. The staff are nice too. There are just a few things that I did not find appealing such as the room being quite cramped, there were no reading lamps in each of the beds in the room unlike in the other hostels I've stayed at. Aside from those, everything was okay. :)

It's a good hostel.

Spending 4d3n at this hotel. Located at 5th floor shop building near to Taipei Main Station. Easy access to night market and local stores. Recommended to those who travel on budget. Great facilities & the hostel receptionist can speak well in english. Really appreciate their help to guide us using local transport. 

Room has no space at all, so much different from the photos shown. 
Not recommended if you are bringing big luggages.
Sound proof extremely bad, unless you don't mind the noise of your energetic neighbours.
Very limited bathroom available for such big group of travellers, long waiting time just to shower. There is no place to hang your clothes in the shower. 
Quite an unpleasant stay.

+price is value for the peak season (went during new years) 
- location is near airport bus station but be warned MRT Taipei Station is huge, from hostel to platform is over 12 minutes walk (same goes to all hotels and hostels in the area) 
- rooms are only 40% clean, left behind trash and dusts under the bed seen 
- no space to open your luggage, not suitable for those bringing large luggage
- need better system for guest to place shoes, corridors smell unpleasant 
- bathrooms are not well maintained, very badly designed, not user friendly, no space to keep your clothes towels dry, floors are always wet 
- public washing basin are always wet 
- bad separation from male and female bathroom 
- very worrying security, seems like anyone can go in and out apart from the 5th floor reception (no staff stand-by on 7th floor and front doors are always open)
+ bright side is, staff is very friendly
