I was forced to stay here last november when I cannot find any other hostels to book. Another hiker got double reservation hence we got the other reservation instead of sleeping in train stations. 

This hostel is clean and has a friendly staff. It is also near restaurants and railway stations. If you also rode a taxi it is not expensive to go to Ximending and nearby areas.

We stayed in a double bed but this double bed is a bunk bed hence we are 4 in a small corner where the sepration to other bunk beds is just a curtain. Quite expensive for this kond of setup. Also if the hotel is getting fully booked and only has 1 or 2 beds left, price becomes expensive.

Good location but can be expensive

Despite being one of the least expensive hostels in Taipei, it has a lot of the features from the more expensive ones in the city. You can definitely tell it's one of the more modern hostels in Taipei. Highlights include giant lockers, personal lockers for shoes (with provided personal sandals), and a front desk employee available 24/7.

Affordable yet modern hostel

I booked one of their bunk beds and it was one of the most comfortable bed I have had in a hostel. They allow you to leave your luggage when you arrive early for your check in time. One thing upon check in is: YOUR BED IS NOT YET READY. YOU WILL BE THE ONE TO PUT THE BED, PILLOW AND COMFORTER SHEETS. 

They have a unisex toilet and bath but there is also a separate one for females. All their showers are working fine. The hostel is properly maintain and guests are not allowed to bring their shoes inside. There are designated lockers for your shoes.

Checking out is hassle free but YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE BED, PILLOW AND COMFORTER SHEETS. You can just leave the key to the bowl in the reception area just in case you're in a hurry. No need to tell the receptionist that you are checking out.

Over all, it was a fine stay. Location is close to Taipei Main Station and Ximen Station.

Perfect for budget travelers

It is located on the 9th floor. The windows on the main street. I was amazed at the cleanliness - although the whole Taipei is clean: pillows and blankets are plush, pillows and sheets from the laundry room. Also surprised by the silence and order in the hostel: the lights are turned off at 00.00- you can use an individual lamp in each capsule.

It's a great hostel.

Great location for train, MRT and bus stations. Friendly welcome upon arrival. Bed was comfortable, facilities clean and the first hostel I've encountered that caters properly for wheelchair using guests. A comfortable and enjoyable budget priced stay.

Pillow was perfect

Pillow hostel was perfect even for couples! They have everything you need: soft bed with clean sheets, clean showers with fragrant shampoo and soap, lockers, cold and hot water for drinking, dishwashing soap and even free coffee and tea! The location is great near Taipei Main Station and KuoKuang Bus Station, near Chiang Kai-Shek. Staff is very helpful.. fast wifi! I would def go back to Taiwan and stay here again. Go Taiwan! xie xie :)

Perfect!

Check-in to the hostel was very fast and efficient.  There is a 100 NT key deposit upon check-in so please have that in mind.  They do take credit card and visa which was very convenient for us.  The location is very close to the MRT Taipei Main Station - Blue and Purple line.  We stayed only for 1 night and it was expected to what you pay for.  My boyfriend and I stayed in a double room which was very spacious, but since we were also located in the back there wasn't much AC going on there.  It might have been because there were a lot of people in the back that it was almost moist. I could not use the covers since it did not ventilate much air into the capsule.  I do wish they do enforce quiet voices because one particular couple was talking very loud during our stay. No staff came to keep them quiet. The woman only bathroom was well kept, but the sink was full of ladies scrubs, cleansers, etc which made no room for me to pick a particular spot to brush my teeth.  There was a clear sign that said to not leave items there, and again it is not enforce.  Overall, the staff was nice, but other travelers were just taking advantage of the place.

If you are on a budget

It's one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in.The common area is always lively and they have a PC that you can use whenever you want in addition to a pretty good WIFI connection.The rooms are super picturesque and very clean.The bathrooms are PERFECT.

The perfect hostel!

+ The staff was very kind! They always greet you with a friendly smile.
+ The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Great to lay on after a busy day of walking around the city.
+ Extremely convenient location, right across the bus stop and  5-10 min. walk from the Taipei Main Station.
+ The hostel was clean and the facilities were good as well (hot shower, kitchen with microwave and water dispenser with water at various temperatures etc.)

- Upon arrival, guests are required to make their own beds. This isn't much of an effort, but the main issue is that some guests arrive around or after midnight, and then still have to do their bedmaking. This can be quite noisy and thus waking others up from their sleep.
- There are signs that ask people to keep their voices down after 11 PM. However, it appears the staff does not actively reinforce that rule so do not expect it to be quiet around that time.

Great value for money. Will definitely stay here again!

If you're looking for a quiet, affordable hostel with privacy, you're right here. It's actually the way that the hostel actually looks even better than in the pictures (as of May 2017). The double beds in the boxes are really super comfortable and you have your peace. Peace is really very much respected, a little too much, because the mood in the living room is actually like you don't want to disturb anyone as much as possible.
