Worst hotel stayed in my three week stay in Taiwan considering I stay more than 10 of them her. Why? 

Faulty facilities and aged amenities. Broken taps, faulty socket and lift breakdown during my stay. If a lift (both of them) need to be fixed twice less than 12 hours. It is a sign of worn out device or zero maintenance plan. It took me 15 mins to take a lift ride up and down as it stops at every floor.

The power point is outdated and faulty. I cannot use the shower tap as one of them is spoilt as shown in picture. 

Also there is no laundry facility here and the only hotel I come across in my TW trip without one. 

Breakfast is one pack of bread and the worst serving in my stay in TW with hotel for free breakfast. 

The staff, however is excellent and only the last asset of the company. 

Many other hotels to look for in this area.
My worst mistake to stay here

Charming no more

People on a tight budget looking for a safe and clean hotel in Taipei should consider this hotel. It is close to Taipei's excellent MRT(rapid underground train system) and TRA(intercity trains).
Breakfast caters mostly to the local and overseas Chinese tastes. 
Free hot tea and coffee is also provide.
Many cafes/restaurants are close by.
Also very close to the night markets which is a MUST SEE sight.
It is very close to the Keelung River where one can walk, jog or run short or long distances.

Safe and clean budget hotel

Good:
- Near a big night market
- Good location

Bad:
- The room is too small.
- Staffs do not understand English and have bad behavior.
- The breakfast is not very delicious.
- The place to eat is also too neat.

=> Dont wanna come back again !

Terrible Experience

-good location.
-nice room decoration with jaguzzi bath, some room with both sauna & jacuzzi bath.
-resonable price.
-friendly staff.
-oriental breakfast style.
-very closed to Mrt ( sungshan station)
-closed to big night market.

So impressed with this hotel!!!

It's a small hotel with only 8 rooms per floor. Some are bigger and some are smaller. You can view the fireworks on the rooftop on the 11th floor and according to my friends tour guide, Sungshan district is the best place to view the fireworks and this hotel is not only at such a location but also has views that are not blocked by tall buildings.

It's also very conveniently located, near to 2 nights markets (I believe one is called Raohe Markets), one sells predominantly food and some retails while the other one sells mostly retails (a lot from South Korea) and about 10 minutes walk to the train station. The Sungshan station is new and has retail and restaurants inside. You can get food from the night market, burgers&specialty restaurants from the train station mall and there is also a nice restaurant just behind the hotel. You can expect to pay about NT 60 at the night market, NT120 at their coffee shops and NT250 at restaurants and specialty shops. I will recommend the latter two for good food and "fun" food at the night markets.

The hotel is also near a big temple and a river with a bridge and park. The park is decorated with "love" designs and the bridge is only for pedestrians and quite nice to walk.

Although the hotel staff do not speak much English, they were able to convey the message across and they are very courteous. The restaurant only serve breakfast and it is not fantastic but cheap. The rooms are clean and well kept.

If I go Taipei again, this is where I'll stay.
