We stayed in this small B&B in September 2023, in the Lego family room. It must have been a quiet time of year because we were the only guests. 

It was one of the best B&B we stayed in during a tour around Taiwan, and certainly it was our kids’ favourite place to stay.  The highlight is the top bunk is a whole loft space with a wall of Lego - below that is a second set of giant building blocks. They didn’t want to leave the hotel! There’s a large screen TV but we didn’t need it, the Lego was so fun. 

The bathroom is generous size with an enormous shower. Beds were comfortable though blankets were quite warm (pretty much everywhere in Taiwan we feel too hot at night). 

The breakfast was more Western style, maybe because we are Australian, but we (and especially the kids) appreciated a break from Taiwanese breakfast. Not a buffet, we each got a generous plate of eggs, bread, fruit, steamed vegetables, and a roast kumara plus coffee, tea, juice etc. the kids got little waffles and chicken nuggets too. 

Location is pretty good, 10 minutes walk to a range of restaurants and 7-11. 

The hosts were friendly and responsive with pretty good English.

Fantastic B&B for families, especially the Lego room

There are only 4-5 rooms in 5Boat B&B and all are in different decorations and style!  3 rooms are for family with kids and they are themed as Lego, dinosaur and Merry-go-around.  We stayed in Dinosaur and Merry-go-round each for one night which are perfect for us as I have one boy and one gal.  They are excited and wanted to stay in the room all the time.  5Boat B&B are not far from the main street of Sun Moon Lake which takes us about 10min by foot.  Very convenient and clean.  Recommended!!

cozy and kids-friendly

We stayed one night and booked 3 rooms, one quad Lego themed, one triple boat themed and one double bed room for 9 of us. Love all the unique themes. My son enjoyed playing the legos. It even have a small eating area on level 3 which we used for dinner & breakfast. Really cozy. The owners were really helpful and kind host, made us feel welcomed! They even had a cool gadget to lift the luggages upstairs! My son ask why can’t we stay here for our entire week vacation in Taiwan?! 

At night, we did a nice 8min stroll to the main shopping street where you can find Carton King shop and other souvenirs shops...

There is a pantry at the 3rd floor with free titbits and drinks

Plenty of  toys and also a slide in the room. My kids enjoy it very much.

Value for money.

Great service and comfort room

They have great rooms for family with kids. My kids were thrilled with the toys and play stuff in the family room. Also love it for its cleanliness and nice little touches. My kids want to be back again!

Kids’ Haven

Amazing hotel with very kind and helpful owners. All rooms have been lovingly decorated and they are really cool. My kids were so impressed that we had to extend our stay! We therefore had to change rooms which was lucky as we got to experience two different rooms. We first stayed in the dinosaur room which comes with a slide and lots of toys like dinosaur tails, soft toys and books. There are plenty of other details, e.g. scratches on the walls from "claws" – even the room key came with a dinosaur key chain. We then moved one floor above to a room with lots of toys for role play, with the highlight of a carrousel horse to sit on. So if you come here, your kids won't need to bring any of their own toys.

The windows are very large and offer a beautiful view over the lake. There is also a small kitchen and the owners offer laundry service.

Unique place, lots of fun for kids (and grown ups)

The manager greeted us at the B§B because there was no readable description for the B§B. We were able to park right next to the B§B. The reception and rooms are beautifully sealed! A large room with a slightly flat bed. In front of the room there was even a small common room to eat or drink. Unfortunately breakfast is outside! And a burger (in the Mosburger) for breakfast is not everyone's business!

Maritime flair at Sun Moon Lake

The accommodation we stayed in was very comfortable, the design was very beautiful and special; the view of the room was very beautiful. The guest was very friendly, thank you very much for your hospitality, so we had a great time on that trip!
