พวกเราเข้าพักที่นี่เป็นเวลา 1 คืน เมื่อสิ้นเดือนพฤศจิกายนที่ผ่านมา ที่ห้อง Family room (พวกเรามี 4 คน) ที่พักอยู่บนเขาที่มองเห็นตัวเมืองฮัวเหลียนและทะเลได้ชัดเจน ที่พักอยุ่ห่างจากตัวเมืองประมาณ 5 กิโลเมตร แต่พวกเราเข้าถึงที่พักได้ไม่ยากนักเพราะเช่ารถขับ ที่นี่เป็นบ้านชั้นเดียว 1 หลัง มีห้องพักเพียง 2 ห้อง ดูแลโดยสามีภรรยาเจ้าของ ซึ่งก็พักอยู่ในบ้านหลังนี้อีกห้องหนึ่งเช่นกัน คู่สามีภรรยาเจ้าของมีอัธยาศัยที่ยอดเยี่ยม และเป็นมิตร ที่นี่ไม่ได้หรูหรา แต่ก็สะดวกสบายและรู้สึกอบอุ่นมาก ห้องพัก ห้องน้ำ สะอาด น่าอยู่ และมีกระจกบานใหญ่ที่ตอนเช้าถ้าเปิดผ้าม่านมา ก็สามารถดูวิว และพระอาทิตย์ขึ้นจากในห้องได้เลย
อาหารเช้าที่นีเยอะมาก และรสชาดดี พวกเรานั่งกินท่ามกลางวิวขุนเขาที่ล้อมรอบ พวกเราทั้ง 4 คนลงมติตรงกันว่า ที่นี่เป็นที่พักที่ดีที่สุดในการเดินทางไปไต้หวันของพวกเรา (พวกเราพักโรงแรมทั้งหมด  5 ที่)

ครั้งหน้าถ้าเดินทางมาที่ Hualien พวกเราจะเข้าพักที่นี่อีกแน่นอน (ก่อนเดินทางกลับ ทางเจ้าของที่พักได้เด็กดอกกระเจี๊ยบฝากกลับมาปลูกที่เมืองไทยด้วย)

Pros: วิวอลังการรอบที่พัก เจ้าของที่เป็นมิตรและจริงใจ
Cons: ที่พักอยู่บนเขา อาจจะไม่สะดวกนักสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวที่ไม่มีรถส่วนตัว

Very nice owner, very great view. like stay at home

200m from ground level, 5km to nearest night market with cab fare at twd200 per trip.. the owner was kind to send us to the rail station when we left. no dinner is available here, hot water is good, clean toilets, 2 rooms for rent each have 2 double bed, 3 adults we paid 120 usd for 1 night. 

Quiet, clean and private

This place is literally sitting right on top of the clouds of Hualien - Mesmerizing views far away from the city lights with abundance of cooling breeze and fresh air. We were a group of friends traveling from city to city in Taiwan, exploring the local culture as much as we can but staying over there, was absolute serenity from all the bustling activities of the town area. Believe me, that after a few days moving from one place to another, you appreciate the complete silence of the night albeit some crickets singing from time to time, from afar. We had the most peaceful night ever throughout our trip in Taiwan.

The hosts were this lovely, charming and kind couple who took care of us and made sure that we had everything we needed. They joined us in our night session of chit-chatting outside with local stories of their. The morning breakfast was a feast of local dishes - plate and plate of delicious Taiwanese breakfast food. I felt the warmth and care of the cook - aka the lady boss in each dish. Definitely one of the plus points for me to come back to this place. 

The apartment was a bit away from town and taxi driver took a bit longer to find the place but once you are on top, every worry and trouble seemed far away. I would strongly recommend anyone who is looking for more than just a touristic holiday in Hualien or for whoever looking for a getaway and retreat in the nature  because you will end up opening up another side of Hualien that you have never seen before.

I remembered looking down watching the movement of the lights within the town area and looking up where stars were twinkling brightly in the dark pitch night - a very memorable moment of serenity...

On Cloud 9

we stayed 2 nights in this B&B.  end May/early June.

The hosts :
They were very hospitable and lovely folks.  The daily breakfast provided was excellent in my mind view! Mrs Huang (the wife) whips up local dishes for breakfast -- it was sumptous and gives us the opportunity to try home cooked taiwanese cuisine! What a treat.  For those who may not take to the taste of local breakfast food, she provides bread rolls/toast too.  we even packed some of the rolls for the kids as snack for our day trips :)  yes, they were very accommodating.

Rooms
The rooms were large (fitted 2 double beds) and clean.  although not the modern feel, it was clean, spacious and well kept.  the property has 2 rooms for rental, one with a view, one without, so u may wish to take note when u book.  

Location
Located in the hills, the surroundings was lovely.  Waking up to gorgeous sunrise, crisp air and beautiful greenery was lovely.  And because of its location, it is a bit out of the way.  there are no amenities nearby.  to reach the nearest food place or convenience store, it will have to be by car.  So please take note to take your meals before coming back to the B&B or buy and pack some food back :) 

O, the address provided doesn't show up well on GPS so best to call the B&B when one is near (when driving) to get directions there.  our driver who picked us up from taipei had abit of trouble finding the place.  

The B&B provide coffee, tea, water and some biscuits for snacks.  nothing too filling, so please come prepared :) 

we arrived late on the day of check in about 8+.  had thought that if there is a nearby eating place we would pop by for a quick meal.  but the nearest was probably a 15min taxi ride away.....as we were tired we decided not to go.  we had hoped that maybe the B&B has some instant noodles or something which we can buy....but alas, that's not to be.  so we ate biscuits and coffee/tea instead.  GOod thing the kids had something to eat along the way and they were not hungry.  it was great that we woke up to a sumptous breakfast!! :)

so overall, i think this is a lovely place to enjoy the mountain views and have some quiet and peace.  only wished that there are more amenities nearby.  My rating was actually a 3.5 but since there isn't such an option, i have rounded it up to 4 as i believe they certainly deserve better than an average rating :)
