I stayed here for a bit less than a month as a solo female traveler who was doing workaway and had one of the best trips of my life. The location is superb, the people working here are family material and the guests and volunteers don’t let the hostel feel boring. I’m super happy I decided to come and stay here and super sad I couldn’t stay for longer. The facilities of the hostel are excellent. Pool, rooftop with amazing sunsets, rooftop bar and plenty of activities to chose from. From yoga to drumming with the sunset or you can even make your own drum if you feel like it. I met the best teachers, the best co workers and the sweetest life long friends. The hostel is super ! Clean, huge and with many chilling spots. 

Lifelong memories and friends 

I stayed there for more than 2 months, and everything was great!! Especially the cleanliness of the hostel, which is sometimes hard to find in Tanzania, and the staff were excellent. I only had breakfast there, and it was good—simple but good—and you can always ask the manager for more variety. There are a lot of activities to do in the hostel, and you get to meet new people all the time. 
It is within walking distance to the town, and if you like to exercise, there is a gym 5 minutes away on foot. The only things I would suggest are to have wifi on every floor, and to provide more kitchen utensils, especially for people staying for a long time, like me.

It will become my stay of choice every time I go back to Arusha.

Great Place, and clean!! 

My son and I went to this hostel for a volunteering experience in Arusha. It was the best experience ever and my son’s first time to Africa and he loved it. The beds were very comfortable the staff were very helpful and nice. The hostel location is very easy to access, all you need to say to get there in tuk tuk or dala dala is “Sakinaba”. An overall great experience and  would recommend to anyone traveling to Arusha.

It was really nice and familiar at the Nyumbani Hostel and they fulfilled every wish we had.
The rooms are basic, but very clean.
The dinner is delicious and the rooftop bar is Amazing.

My stay at Arusha

Very nice hostel with everything you need! There is a really nice rooftopbar with pizza oven and nice parties. There is a nice pool with options to book spa treatments. A kitchen to use. The rooms are nice and beds are nice. 

The best hostel in Arusha! 

It’s a nice and clean place. Kind people from the hostel who help you, even in the evening with arranging transport to restaurants in Arusha. Nice roof top bar. Relax options at the pool. I would recommend. 

Nice hostel in Arusha.

Great place to sleep during your stay in Arusha. It is well situated, near the city Center with public transport. The staff is really nice, the rooms are very good, and the pool is amazing! I really recommend you to stay in the hostel, it’s worth it.

Beautiful hostel with a very nice rooptop, bar and swimming pool. I really enjoyed staying here and made a lot of friends. Also, the staff is really nice and helpful. You can get a massage at the spa or play pool at the rooftop.
