Easily one of the best hotels I've ever been to. Amazing experience, everything felt luxurious and the service was amazing. The owner is so friendly and really made me feel at home. 10/10 would visit again

The best hotel in Tanzania 

The hotel is in a great location and has a very relaxed atmosphere, the major problem seems to be the management which does not take any effort to make any improvement. The hotel is outdated, everything feels antique. It seriously needs renovation. 

The restaurant and breakfast was the worse, who serves french fries and noodles  for breakfast? Toast machine was not working, no kettle for hot water and worse no teaspoons!

Poor Management

Hotel Oasis is a little dated in decor and style, but the rooms are clean and the staff are very helpful - a little Swahili goes a long way if you want to connect. The location is very central, the Indian food is the best in Morogoro and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The pool is a great bonus, ask if you’d like a sun lounger and they can be provided.

A little faded, but good value and relaxed atmosphere

stayed again here after my last stay in Jan2018
had assumed it would have gone better from my last time constructive criticisms.
However seems the condition is deteriorating day by day.

there were no kettle in our rooms until spoken to the porter who then arranged it for us as if it was a special favour.
The only PLUS+ was the swimming pool !
Breakfast choices were almost finished although we came well before 1030HRS which was the breakfast end time.
Please "pull up your socks"

Average stay

Great location with amazing view of Mount Uluguru. The hotel looks a bit old but it's value for money.The cook in the evening makes super delicious dishes.Breakfast is disappointing with limited options and "first come first serve".Good WiFi speed. I will definitely go back.

Value for money

Sad little place with hard pillows and not as clean as it could’ve been. My colleague and I ordered roast pork and roast chicken. Both were dry. By the time I got to breakfast (included in the price), there was only toast. Even though I arrived within the time frame. 
There’s a pool. And a nice courtyard to sit in. Otherwise not much to recommend it.  

Sad little place in Morogoro

I stayed at this hotel in September 2018 when on business in Morogoro. The hotel room was comfortable but is very dated and not very well maintained. I moved rooms the first night because the shower was just a trickle. Once I moved, it was ok, with hot water available every day.

On the positive side, the hotel is very central and within walking distance to a few restaurants (don’t walk at night however), and has very good WiFi particularly on the terrace. It has a big pool which looked very clean. The terrace menu was very long, but I would recommend the Indian food above all the others. I had excellent curries each night. 

One major negative was the noise every night that went on, sometimes well after midnight, from a club in town (even during the week). Some of the rooms are not sound-proofed enough and are oriented to receive the noise. In addition, the pool/terrace lights are on until late. It was very annoying not to be able to sleep. 

If you are a light sleeper like myself, ask the owner when checking in to put you in a room where these will not bother you (ground floor may be better). The owner did offer to move me after the second night of this, but as I only had one more night to go (and had already moved once), I declined. This hotel sorely needs maintenance and updating, but is value for money if you can look past some of the irritations. The owner’s willingness to assist was one of the main reasons I think this hotel is worth considering if you are staying in Morogoro.

Very central, a bit run down but good WiFi & excellent Indian food!

The first sign of trouble was that the staff didn't give the 'karibu' welcome offered almost universally in Tanzania. Although the sheets and the room was clean,  the hotel had definitely seen better days. The shower was cold, plumbing falling apart, the towels were threadbare and stained. The pool looked nice enough but we didn't get a chance to try it out. Breakfast was fine if you stuck to fruit and tea - everything else was pretty horrible, and they charged us for water despite breakfast being included. The staff looked very unhappy so goodness knows how they are treated but it is not a happy place.

Grim

Stayed here for first time and worked out really well. Convenient spot in centre of Morogoro which is a bustling town growing really quickly. Close to Ulugulu Mountains and road to Dar. Also importantly close to the Red Chilli a wonderful (air slow on service) Indian restaurant.
Oasis has nice pool and although rooms are a little tired they are clean and fine.
