Great place to have a meal. Chicken cordon bleu comes highly recommended, it was delicious. Staff very efficient and courteous. Great range of both western food and Thai food. So good we went back the next day and were most certainly not disappointed.

Superb.

Not easy to find in a side street of U Thong Main Street, the guesthouse is located right by the river and opposite the popular Wat Phutthai Sawan. The rooms are large and clean, the facility is well maintained with a lot of attention to detail, and overall there is a very family atmosphere. The English spoken here is a bit rudimentary; I have been able to understand Thai. Here you can easily endure for a few days!

Family atmosphere in great condition

We spent 3 nights here and we found ourselves very well there. But we must clarify that it is not a hotel. It is just a guesthouse in the first sense of the term: that is, a homeowner who rents rooms in his own house. So it is both very good but full of flaws; the rooms are clean and well equipped, but most do not have bathrooms or toilets (which are common). There is a nice terrace overlooking the river, but no breakfast or meal scheduled. The room with jacuzzi is large and clean, but there are broken and dirty cars in the bathroom that do not make you want to use the bathroom. Also, there is no indication of lunch, but it is not necessary to call the hotel (which is a small hotel) but in the presence of a small guesthouse (which is located nearby in the corner of 7th Street) to make sure that there is a convenient place to wash clothes.

Guesthouse in the first sense of the word

Originally staying 1 night but ended up staying 3.Owner very friendly and went out of his way to make stay very enjoyable.Everything was good,balcony/verandah with good views,room fine,couln't complain at all.Did'nt eat their as restaurants close by and was mostly out! but always enjoyed drinks on balcony or down restaurant area on the river.

RELAXED AND CHILLED OUT!

This place was an oasis. We got in to Ayutthaya in the early evening and everything was booked. It was raining and we were without a place to stay. When we walked into one hotel they gave us the number for a place on the other side of town that they knew had a room. We took a tuk tuk ride over there and down some dark alley, with apprehensions growing by the minute. When we pulled in the sweetest older gentleman came out to greet us. He didn't speak any English, but showed us around his home-stay. It was lovely. Right on the water, with a beautiful courtyard. It looked like there were 3 other rooms, but we were the only guests there. There were 2 bathrooms located on the ground level where we were, both stocked with toilet paper inside, and right outside the doorway. He has a hot water kettle and coffee available for us in the morning when we woke up. That night we needed to decompress and so went to sit outside in the courtyard, under the awning on the river. Our host came out with towels to dry the tables and chairs, brought incense to keep the mosquitos away and turned on the lights for us. The room itself was so clean and welcoming. Towels, more toilet paper, water bottles and a large mounted flat panel tv. We would have never even noticed this place was there, had it not been given to us on a recommendation. We loved it, and our host was extremely attentive and kind. Highly recommend this place is added to your next guide book.

Oasis

This place is really nice, quiet and relaxing. Had a 'Delux balcony room' which was not expensive and all facilities functioning.
The previous reviewer is correct in the the owner speaks no English however be realistic... This is NOT actually a hotel or resort. It is in effect someone's house that they have converted rooms to let out. They have done it very well but don't expect a lobby check in or porter to take your bags!
Also, this is a small home stay place, tucked out of the way in Thailand. Would you really expect them to speak English?

Anyway, for us this was perfect. Relaxing, simple and clean with much better in room facilities than some other resorts in the area. Aircon, coffee in the room, free wifi, good shower, clean toilet, clean and comfortable bed, nice bright room with clear view outside.

Point to be aware of is that if you are driving yourself, it was very difficult to find. My wife is Thai and even asking locals for directions proved difficult as it is not signposted. The entrance to the little road (soi 19) is very narrow and hidden. It was difficult to locate and turn the car into the road. Once in the road the place has free car parking spaces.
If you have a satnav, it will give a close idea of where the turning is near a coffee shop. Best advice is to stop at the coffee shop and ask exactly where soi 19 is.

Great, relaxing and very clean but keep expectations realistic

When we came to hotel there was nobody there. Our tuk-tuk driver kindly called numbers that were written on the board in front of hotel. A lady (owner?) promised us that someone would be there in 5 minutes time. After more than half an hour came an older Thai guy who didn't know a single word in English. He was very attentive and helpful during our stay, unfortunately communication was extremely limited. The 1st impression was bad enough but the worse is yet to come! We've booked deluxe Jacuzzi room and paid for a bathtub that was nothing but decoration! It was completely non-functional. All our efforts to make it work ended with taking a shower with cold water! TV had only 5 Thai programs and next morning we were hoping in vain that we'd be offered a breakfast. We booked room only, but as there was a restaurant we thought that we could get a breakfast with a surcharge. We left with a nice memory of beautiful river view and a very attentive and kind person representing staff. Definitely not enough for money paid!
