What this hotel offers is traditional Thai-style accommodation with its teak wood house. What it does not offer is luxury or great comfort. We stayed in their "family" room or rather rooms as it is a suite of two bedrooms and a covered porch. The teak wood walls floor and shuttered windows are authentic traditional Thai and has an ambience that you might like if you want old-style ambience. The amenities are fairly basic. The combined shower and toilet rooms are not adjoining. There are no baths. The TV only receives a few local channels most of them with poor pictures.
A good thing this hotel does which I have never come across elsewhere is that you could almost sleep as many people as you want in the rooms, they will provide the mattresses on the floor, and no extra charge! There were 7 of us in all but we could have brought 10 or more people. Of course that would make it a bit cramped but it would have been quite possible.
So if you don't mind mattresses (not particularly thick ones) on the floor and you don't mind the basic facilities this hotel could work for you. It is situated at a peaceful spot on the river, at times so quiet you could here children's voices from houses on the opposite bank. It is situated some distance from the town centre, which can be reached by a picturesque boat ride.
But if you are looking for Western level of fittings and comfort this is not for you.

Traditional Thai wooden house style

If your looking for a hotel close to Amphawa, this is not for you! ten minutes drive into the jungle from the market. The hotel is remote with no shops or ameneties within walking distance. Amphawa market is great and mainly visited by Thai tourists, my Thai partner booked this hotel localy and was not told the truth about location and extra tansport costs, they arranged transport to and from Amphawa on arrival and departure but failed to tell us there was a charge for this service. 
After a long bus journey from bangkok we arrived tired and hungry only to find the hotel restaurant was closed for a refurb, even though menu's were still available in our room, something else the failed to tell us when booking, we opted to travel by hotel boat into Amphawa with a trip to see fire flies after dark (boring !), we were the only two passengers because the hotel was nearly empty, so the price was increased,(1,500bht) another thing they failed to tell us when booking!

We booked a basic room, and basic it was, they went for a modern art deco look, but it looked like they had run out of paint diring the construction, the shower had really uncomfortable pebbles on the floor, very cheap design!  The beds had fitted sheets that didn't fit with thick duvets designed for northern europe not Thailand.

I couldn't fault the service, Thai staff were pleasant and efficient as usual, It's just the managment at fault for not being truthful when trying to fill a empty resort during the quiet season!
