No one speaks English here. For checking in, someone comes to translate on the motorcycle. When checking out the same procedure, only no one came to the key. I just pushed it into a waiter's hand. Right by the lake, a big restaurant with a bar and very good fish dishes, really recommended. And the only thing that's still open here after 7 p.m. The room at 1 OG, No. 12, sea view, is very small, very loud AC, very good WLAN, no way to hang up his clothes or put it anywhere neat. The door closes only very hard or with a loud knock. Because of the gastronomy, I've got 3 stars, otherwise it's only worth two.

House by the lake, very good gastronomy

We stopped for lunch, a group of four. Service was slack, we had to call out to order.
On the other hand the food was good, menu was in Thai and English.
We had shrimp with baby corn, obviously more corn than shrimp, but cooked properly and sauce great.
The yom pla muek (squid in salad) was very good, not spicy and lime flavoured.
The other dishes were freash and good.
The restaurant is right on the water. The restrooms are western style with sprayers but ask for tissue at cashier.

Restaurant only - good food

Rock hard beds. Rooms FULL of all kinds of bugs. Old. Unclean. 3 days, no housekeeping, not even a towel change.

Terrible service from most staff. No help for guests. One day we wanted to go to town and asked for a car or taxi, they asked why we wanted to go to the riverside town, we said "for swimming" and they told us we cannot go because it is too dangerous and walked away. We ended up literally hitchhiking into town to have a wonderful time swimming in the river and eating lunch at a much nicer hotel. 

We called our driver from Bangkok to come and get us a day early. when we went to return the keys, they didn't even ask why we were throwing away the price of a nights accommodation to flee from their terrible hotel at 9 pm at night. They didn't care about anything.

We stopped here for lunch. The food was seriously good with decent sized portions too. Unfortunately, the sevice was terrible, despite the restaurant not being very busy. Delightful views across the reservoir. We'll probably go again because of the food but if you want prompt and friendly service you should give it a miss.

Good value food, terrible service

The resort is located just near the lake with a beautiful view from all rooms (balconies). There is main 3 story building and a few bungalows located closer to the lake. We stayed only one night in the main building. The best thing is a view. It was really beautiful. It is a quiet, romantic place I would say. However maybe it was quiet due to the low season. We were the only guests in the whole building. There were few bungalows occupied though. 
The room was OK but maybe a bit old and not so clean (especially balcony and bathroom). The hot water in the shower did not work. The price was a bit high comparing to the service and the room quality itself.
There is a restaurant downstairs with a very good view on the lake also. In the evening it was windy there and a bit cold for my Thai friends. For me it was OK. The food was OK but maybe a bit expensive for that service. 
Overall I really enjoyed staying there.
