Great food and atmosphere and service traditional Isaan cooking cooked to high standards and presented very well
This is not too far off the beaten track and is close to the city center.
The food is absolutely delicious and offers a great dining experience with excellent service
Will certainly be going back again .
My wife who is Thai really enjoyed it too.

The best traditional Isaan food in khon kaen

I am beyond upset with this hotel and their staffs. I booked this hotel as a wedding venue and accommodation for 3 nights. This has been planned 6 months in advance at the beginning of 2016.  

There are 3 villas - 2 cheaper rooms ($400 nzd) and one luxury room ($600 nzd). We booked for the cheaper villa and upgraded to the luxury room for the wedding night (conversion is around 10,000 baht per night). I was dealing with the manager and was promised that everything will be organised especially for this special event. 

We arrived 2 days before the wedding and stayed in a cheaper room. First night, the phone was not working, at night there was a liquid dripping from the air-con onto the bed. We travelled with a 7 year-old child, they were going to charge us for an extra blanket and a pillow (we were the only guest there). The next day (which is the day before the wedding), the toilet did not flush! I started to question how the $600 room will look, so I've asked to see the room. The hotel manager gave me excuses that it was not ready but I insisted to see the room anyway and OH MY GOSH.. 

The room was old, unfinished, there was no back door! It was like an abandoned place! That's it. Packed up all our stuff and move that very evening to Khon Kaen Avani hotel. Can you imagine doing this before your wedding night with all that stress?! 

On the actually wedding night, none of the hotel staffs were to be found. We asked for a fan and couldn't even find one. I had a look at the contract and it stated clearly that they will provide any additional services to help during the whole ceremony. 

I warn anyone that is reading my review not to go to this place. I will never ever go back there. I will post up the photos I've taken of the rooms to show exactly how it actually look and not what the website shows.

So, let me start with "this hotel almost ruin my wedding" BE AWARE

Suppanniga Home is a private estate which has been converted to a bed and breakfast in a rural setting in Khon Kaen. It is a lovely little place with beautiful landscape and you will experience a slow and relaxing life of Isan. The room is comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast is cooked to order and delivered to your villa. The staff are friendly but I must say not most efficient. There is room for improvement in service. Among many amenities in the room, I appreciated an in-room Nespresso machine. You can have a nice Thai lunch ordered to your room or served in outdoor dining area. The hotel is a bit pricey but it is worth a try.

A sanctuary in rural setting

We had the Velu Villa. It is a nice modern villa of 2 rooms. The garden of the Supanniga is very nice with a lot of squirrels (so nice) but too many mosquitoes (less nice)...the staff were friendly and breakfast good. We will go back there certainly.

Nice stay in Khon Kaen

This hotel "home" is very tiny.. 3 villas only.
my first impression when we arrived was the space, huge gardens perfectly maintain, beautiful flowers, old trees.. a magnificent Banyan Tree on the terrace.  Greens all around.
We were welcomed by the owner, who was dressed all in white and invited us for a cup of Pu'er Tea, that she prepared herself, while telling us the story of this land and her family.
The staffs here are not trained in a hotel school, they work from their heart. Communication in English was not always easy, but body language, smile were doing the trick.

The villa we stay was all painted in white, a large window facing the garden and a plunge pool in the back. Spacious and again very quiet.

Cuisine at the restaurant is local and very tasty. For breakfast, we decided to follow the owners recommendation for local flavor: broth with shrimp, organic red rice... 

After lunch, we went for a visit to a nearby village, and met a passionate guy who helped us understand the process of weaving silk, organic dying... a very old tradition. Beautiful pieces of fabric

This is a hotel that does not feel like any hotel... but feels like home.  A great experience to discover local culture. I do recommend to people who know how to take the time and enjoy the pleasure of discovering new things, away from daily city routine.

Peace of mind - an escape out of time

When we arrived we felt disturbed. We discovered our beautifully decorated villa. Unfortunately, we also found urine on the glasses of both toilets and no water in the toilets. When the water was connected, the toilets of one of the rooms were closed. The first night we had the right to the candles in the villa and the anti-mosquito spirals on the terrace. But the second night, nothing... For info we were the only customers of Supaniga Home. After the first night we were forced to wake up at 8:30 by the music in the garden and then the second morning, a brutal wake up at 6:20 by loud voices for 10 hours in the high-rises of the garden. The two churches in the garden were still in good condition, but we did not have a very good service.
