Lovely bungalows in lush coconut garden. Room is nice and clean with AC. You can rent bike from here to see the island. Owner is very kind. Good coffee and omelettes are amazing at breakfast Highly recommended.

Loved this place

This place is a class act.  Hugely welcoming   owner who provides service with a smile and is a mine of information.  Lovely bungalows, spotlessly clean and comfortable and the breakfast is - to me - superb.  Lovely surroundings and great location - what's not to like?

Fantastic On Every Level!

simply fantastic, the island has wonderful paradisiacal beaches and the Suan Maprao is one of the places where you would stay all your life the rooms are new, very very clean and comfortable, the garden is super well-kept, the breakfast is the best I have had after 5 years coming to Thailand !!!! what can I say! thanks for the wonderful experience I add that on the island you will find more expensive and seafront resorts but none will be as comfortable as suan maprao !!!!! ♥ ️

Semplicemente un paradiso!!!!

I stayed in Dec 2020, i have booked 3 nights and quickly extended to 6. The owners is great, more than helpful for everything, really caring. He demonstrates strong trust in you when it comes to rent motorcycle, pay the bills at the end... Overall a high sense of customer service. 
The room itself also really good, large, balcony with a nice view on palm coconut trees.

Finally food was served at dinner, cooked by the family again, and minimum choice but good enough as a back up

the place to stay if you look for family owned business with care

You get a an ice cold coconut upon arrival. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The area is very quiet, the breakfast is nice which includes fruit and a big bottle of water which you can use the rest of the day. I would definitely recommend this place!

Friendly host, comfortable, big and clean rooms.

We were there for 4 days. It was great. Bungalows are simple but they’re have everything you need. Lots of privacy and only 9 bungalows. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Location is great, not on the beach but we rented a scooter and drove with it to different beaches.

Great hotel 

The resort (as the name suggests) is a coconut grove.  So if you time it right you can sit on your balcony and watch a pair of monkeys harvest the grove.  Bungalows are new, clean and well thought out.  Lin and his family run the place efficiently without being unfriendly.  Food is good (especially the Tempura Prawn) - though the restaurant is not open every night.  But it's just a few steps away from one of the food highlights of the island - Chaiyo.  Not on the beach so a scooter is probably essential.  Lin rents new scooters in good nick.  A lovely place run by lovely people.

Great Location

We stayed 6 nights and were very happy with everything.  Lin, the owner, and his family were unfailingly happy and helpful.  Food was good, the bungalow was new, very clean and a good distance frrom the other 8. The scooter was better than most we saw.  Set in a coconut grove it was quiet, yet only 10 min walk from the sea and had one of the best restaurants the island has to offer on the corner with the main road.  Suan Maproa is a real find. 

COMFORTABLE, CLEAN AND GOOD VALUE

The place is nice, separate house with one room each. The owner is very nice and helpful. 

The only issue (irrelevant to the resort) is that we came in the rainy season (low season), the beach is not good at all, the sea is not blue-green but has a white pale color. So I strongly recommend not to visit the island in the rainy season.

After staying at the coast of the island, we booked here for two nights. The bungalows are really cute and in perfect shape, it looks and feels all new. 
Slightly different from the beach resort experience, personally I liked this one a lot. Showers worked really well, the included breakfast is made with attention: you get a fruit platter and can choose your pack, I had the “pan omelet” with instant coffee but there are espresso places nearby (like the pink kangaroo)
