The owner, Yai, is the most helpful guy ever. He takes you anywhere in the island and shows around. The bungalows and the garden are beautiful. Good ubication! 
The WC are outside the bungalows, but is not a big deal.

Best decision

First of all: My girlfriend and me have been there in november 2019 (Trip advisor just doesn’t let me set the date so long in the past).

This is the optimal place to go if you want to experience Koh Muk and just don’t want to stay all the time at one place. It is located very close to the pier and by walking you reach the beach and a lot of restaurants.
And here ist the thing that sets this stay apart from all the others: The owner! He drove us anywhere and picked us also up anywhere. We just had to call him in time. He gave us special offer prices to visit the emerald cave (highly recommended), to rent a canoe or to get a boat tour to the surrounding isles. To make it short: He was always there with a helping hand, gave us a lot of tips and on top of that he was super kind and gave all his heart to make this the best stay we could ever have at Koh Muk.

To be fair, there are also needs you won’t get fulfilled here.
The rooms are not the most fancy but they serve their purpose. And also the toilets and showers are located central on his property and are used by all guests. 

If you can give up a small amount of comfort for an adventurous stay, a person who really cares about what you want to experience and all the other pros I mentioned above this is the ideal stay for you! My girlfriend and me we loved it so much there and I kind of felt obligated to the owner to write this review even more than two years after we left (yes, this is how memorable the time there was).

Perfect price-performance ratio and the most helpful and heartwarming owner you could imagine!

I stayed in a bungalow for 5 nights and absolutely loved it! The bungalow was big and clean and in the perfect location. Yai the owner really cares that all his guests are looked after and picked me up from the pier, took a few of us to a local bar with live music and even took us to watch the sunset. He really thinks of everything and it is the best place to stay. I loved this island and my stay here was just perfect. Thank you Yai!

BEST place to stay in Koh Mook

Mr Yai was so kind to us, and made us feel most welcomed.  We stayed in one of the bungalows.   This was clean and tidy with a working fan.   Communal facilities including western flush toilets , were very clean and tidy.  This is an great location near the Main Street.  Internet worked well too.   Highly recommended

Highly recommend this place. Our room was clean and bed was good. Outdoor/garden was relaxing. Location was middle of everything. The owner is one of the kind. So happy and helpful that we will remember him rest of our lives. Tysm! 

Great place to stay

With my girlfriend we had a wonderful week in Yai's place...we slept in a comfortable and large tent under the amazing cashewnut trees of the garden. Yai made our holliday unforgettable, an host just perfect...he show us everything on the island. I hope to come back to see him as soon as possible. So, go and try Cashewnut Bungalows: Absolutely recommended!

I have been in this island many times, alone and with friends also.
 Working in thailand for more than 12 years, sometimes I need a good holiday on the andaman sea...
 I like the island and Developduring the years a great friendship with Yai the owner of the place. He work on the property slowly because he is always busy taking good care of you, showing you places, inviting you for a ride on his kayaks, taking you for a stunning sunset with his taxi on Charlie beach.... or adventure in the jungle to see the monkeys and the numerous native berries... arranging boats for you and so on-
 His English is fluent and so it is easy to end up having long talks with Yai.
 
The large  garden has a lot of shade, given by the old cashewnut trees- only two pleasant bungalow but he recently placed two very large tends and arrange them vey beautifully inside!!!! 
He is  just few steps away from the village, has a bar with wi-fi and can rent you motorbikes.
You can easily walk for a swim in the great white beach near Sivalai, and have dinner in one of the many restaurants nearby, supermarket is just 5 min walk
A great location and an excellent host even for long stay at affordable prices

The great cashewnut garden in ko mook

We were welcomed by Yai at the pier and driven to the Cashewnut Bungalows. The bungalows were fully booked but we stayed at the simple double room, which was small, but clean. It is a few minutes walk to the beach and hence perfectly located. Yai went the extra mile to make his guests feel comfortable, drove us to watch sunset, helped us organize kayaks etc. Ko Mook is a nice island to spend some time and this is a basic but affordable place to stay.
