Joon Bungalow is owned by Ann, a charming Thai woman. Available and kind. I recommend this guest house for backpacker. It is very nice to have an appetizer and enjoy the hoppy atmosphere! The location is beautiful, located on Ao Nai wok beach (very beautiful sunset). You reach the guest house in about 5 minutes from Thong Sala harbor. The low wounds are the quality and cleanliness of the small wooden bungalows. The floor is rotten, the bed is hard like stone, the shower is just horrible yellow and smelling croupy).

Hippie style

I had an amazing time at joons, the staff are lovely and go out of there way to make your stay more enjoyable. The location is beautiful, they have probably the best sunsets I've ever seen. I stayed just over 2 weeks and met some really great people, they had a party while I was there which was really good fun! They also do great cocktails and the food is really good.

Love Joon's bungalow!

I had such an amazing time at Joons... It is literally paradise - right on the beach with some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen! There is a perfect island view (which my friends and I actually swam out out to as well!) They have comfy hammocks and it is a real community feel. Great cocktails and really yummy food! Excellent Thai food and make sure to try their chicken burger! 

I came for one night and ended up staying 2 weeks - I made so many amazing friends. We'd alternate between partying, swimming, playing and relaxing in the hammocks or comfy chairs. 

From what I understand it is under new management and they are really doing up the place too - the bungalows are simple but really sweet, they are all different colors, which I love!... It's also really close to the pier where you get off the boat and close to town so is in a great location. It is such a pretty place! It was my last stop in Thailand and has a very special place in my heart... 

For me, it is the perfect setting for paradise and I highly recommend you give it a chance xo

Seriously give this place a chance - PARADISE!

We booked to stay at this hotel for 10 people months in advance of our arrival. We even received an email the week before from Joon saying how pleased they were to have received our booking and they were looking forward to our arrival. We were quite shocked to find upon our arrival that only one room was left and they expected all 10 of us to sleep in there. Considering there were only 2 beds we weren't best pleased. Eventually we found another place to stay but having made sure bookings were in place we were very annoyed to be told they were full. The rooms had terrible air conditioning and things fell out of the trees overhead and banged off the roof at all hours. The toilet had no flush and the staff had lost the key for the door to the room meaning we had to climb in through a window more than once. The location is brilliant, right on the beach but the rest of our stay was awful and I would never recommend anyone to stay here.

Don't bother to make reservations

We were two couples (we and our son and daughter-in-law) and we stayed four nights in this hotel that at first glance seemed ideal: a beautiful setting, very cute bungalows (outside). When you open the door, you undo it quickly there are no windows, the floor is rotten, the bathroom doesn't even have a sink (just toilets and a very dirty shower), the water smells bad, the lighting is defective. The bed sheets are dirty and sandy.

Horror in a Paradise setting

During our trip in Thailand we decided took a part in Fullmoon party. So we wanted stayed there just one night but at the end we were there 3 days. Bungalows itself are pretty simple, just bed, fan and toilet. The bathroom was the worst thing from all but for that price what else it could be? So actually we didn't mind it. Bungalows are set in nice garden, there a lot of pye-dogs, but they are harmless. It is right on the beach. Bit far from the center but there everybody rent a bikes. Then it is everything close. There is a beach bar what was the best thing here. A lady who run these bungalows was amazing, nice and helpful. People just sit down in chairs, or just on the floor or in net and watching sunset and drinking cold beers and listening chill out music. You can have drinks or meals in restaurant/ bar for good price. I would recommend this place for adventurous travelers. Value for those money.
