Sibaja Palms Sunset Beach Apartment 

We travelled to Koh Samui to attend a Wedding at a nearby hotel in February 2018. Given the distance from the UK we decided to stay at the Sibaja Palms Sunset Beach Resort for almost 2 weeks; a week before and a week after the Wedding. We selected Sibaja Palms Sunset Beach Resort based on the consistently good reviews posted on Trip Advisor. There are four near identical villas on the resort which are ideal for couples, plus two houses which are better suited to families. We stayed in Villa No 2. The Sibaja Palms Sunset Beach Resort is exactly as described on their website. We felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. The Villas have been built and maintained to a high standard. The furniture in the Villa is substantial. Each Villa has its own en suite with over bath shower which has adequate water pressure and although the mixer valve is not thermostatic, it was easy to set a comfortable water temperature. The Villa was very clean, the king size bed is very comfortable. There was a large LCD TV on which we could receive Movies and News broadcasts in English; there was also a DVD player and a selection of DVDs. There is free fast WiFi. Our Villa was fitted with a Panasonic air conditioning system which featured a very effective “quite” mode which did not disturb sleep. There is a small kitchenette, and a full size Fridge/Freezer mini bar with plenty of room to store your own purchases. The swimming pool in front of the Villa featured water jets in one corner. The pool is treated with natural salts rather than harsh chemicals. The water in the swimming pool was crystal clear and the whole pool area was very clean and tidy. Fifty metres from the villa there is a sun deck which leads on to the beach. The sunsets are nothing short of spectacular. Each morning we were greeted with a fresh brew coffee, followed by a delicious cooked breakfast (omelette with a choice of fillings) cooked to order and complemented with freshly prepared fruit, yogurt, toast and a glass of fruit juice. Close by there are a number of beach front restaurants, the nicest in my opinion is the “Island View Restaurant” which is no more than a 5 minute walk. You can access this restaurant by either the beach (turn right) or the road (turn left). What makes the Sibaja Palms Sunset Beach Resort particularly special are the owners Wilfred and Brenda and the attentive staff that clean the Villa and bring you your breakfast. Every day Brenda would check in on us to ensure everything was okay. It is well worth asking Brenda for advice on what to do, where to shop and where to eat. On the day of the Wedding Brenda kindly drove us to the venue and at the end of the stay because we had an evening flight we were offered a late check-out. We were not charged for either. We really enjoyed our stay. We felt we were treated more like family rather than guests. I have no hesitation in recommending the Sibaja Palms Sunset Beach Resort.
