5 min walk advertised on Hotels.com - but this was through the forest, which was not safe at night or after dark, which was 6.30pm. Its a 20 min walk from the beach. Very basic rooms with loose taps and shower and no other facilities.

I loved my recent stay in this place. It was absolutely perfect for the type of trip I wanted, that is one with peace and quiet. Your well hidden away, up a hill from sairee and you have a follow some dirt tracks to find it. It’s about a 15 minute walk to sairee but staff can get you a motorbike to rent, and I’d recommend getting one if your staying here.
The garden is a beautiful peaceful little place. I just loved relaxing on my balcony, with no music or anything, I would sit there , taking in my surroundings. The rooms are charming, theyre clean, the bed is comfy and there is a decent shower. They also have Satellite tv which is a big plus. They don’t have a restaurant but if you don’t want to go out to dinner, you can order a pizza! 
All in all, I found this place ideal for my needs and if I visit Ko Tao again, I would certainly stay here again.

Loved it

Was supposed to stay 4 nights but stayed 2 weeks.
Great location, 8/10minute walk to the beach.
The lady managing was so lovely with a lovely welcoming dog called Jet :-)
Air con good. WiFi fast, bed was so comfortable.

Lovely place

We stayed in the secret garden in February for a week, the structure was recommended by friends; great advice I must admit! slightly isolated from the center (perhaps without a motorbike a little too isolated, but renting them is very easy and cheap), a few well-kept bungalows, air conditioning and huge comfortable beds (one small sin the huge refrigerator that warms like a stove:(, but very useful), a well-groomed garden and the guy on the nice and nice spot. if I ever go back to Koh Tao, I know where to stay!

Peaceful.

Secret garden village is a very nice place to stay. The bungalows are clean and very nice. The Thai people who hold the bungalows are very nice. The bungalows are very well equipped for the price. A refrigerator, a hot shower and a TV. The tropical garden is beautiful and very well maintained. The beach is only a few minutes away by motorbike. Try it.

Very affordable price and super nice bungalow

We decided to stay here because of all the brilliant reviews. It is quite far from the centre, we tried the short cut he recommended but got completely lost and had to turn back. We walked the long way round for the rest of the trip which took a good 10mins and at night it was very dark and intimidating. The environment around the bungalow is nice, apart from the cockerels that started at 5am! When we got there the toilet had massive ants all in it, had to use the little sprayer to get them off. On the 2nd day the water stopped, it was turned back on but it was then yellow for the rest of the duration. We stayed for 3 nights, the bin wasn’t emptied and when you can’t put tissue down the toilet it can get a bit gross. Also the fridge was very dirty. Such a shame as the manager is really nice but it could be a lot better

Disappointing 

We booked this nice little bungalow for 2 nights and decided to extend for another 5 nights. A very peaceful setting, a little bit far from the busy road in Sairee. Had issues finding the place in the beginning because there were no signages except at the entrance, so perhaps that can be improved. This place is well maintained, comfortable and clean. The manager, Htoo, is excellent. He's a friendly guy and happy to help us with anything. Definitely would come back again!

Pleasant stay, definitely a nice secret spot!

The bungalow is a little isolated off Sairee Beach, easily accessible by scooter but a little out of hand to walk to. A very kind and generous owner helped us with the scooter rental and to set up a boat tour of the island. Large room, comfortable bed, small bathroom and uncomfortable shower.

My Boyfriend and I stayed in one of the bungalows and had a really pleasant stay! The manager was very friendly and Super helpful and the room was clean and looked even better than the photos. The AC worked really well and the wifi was very fast. It’s a very quiet location and perfect for relaxation. I would definitely stay there again.
