Engtan Resort

I was impressed with the interior decoration with well organised of fittings in the dining hall. Room was clean but lack of hang area. The food was fabulous passionately decorated by the staff, the authentic Thailand was irresistible and enjoy every dish that they served.

This is my 4th trip to Engthan Resort. Pleasant and friendly owner. He is well versed in  English. Staff are always smiling and very helpful although they speak very little English. Search for Wang Sai Thong waterfall in Google and sign board and you will find Engthan easily. It's just a 1 km further down the road. Food is good! Activities fun!

To start off, this resort was a great place for a getaway from the busy life of city. Be prepared to be charmed by the staff workers of the resort, who would go the extend to please the resort guests.

For Asian tourists, be pampered by the food. One of the highlights of this trip was to see what else the resort would prepare for us. Even the simple breakfast was good. 

Included into our package was rafting. We arrived during the rain period. The water was a little more rough but it was enjoyable. The rafting made the trip worthwhile.

The sad news was that the place was not easy to be located. Even the google maps was not helpful, as it placed Engtan Resort at a wrong place. Engtan was far from Pak Bara. However, the journey was worth the hassle, as the resort was charming.

Another problem was booking the resort. As friendly as the staff workers were, they were not fluent in English. They barely used English. Even the website was in English. It was not easy to book a tour package. But when you did, it was really worth the trip.

This resort was way after Wang Sai Thong Waterfall. Be brave enough to continue the journey after the waterfall and you would surely reach the resort.

A place where there is peace and tranquility, with the soothing sound of the river nearby. The staff is excellence in service with minimum English.
Take the package where all meals and recreation included. Caving at Phu Pha Phet, visit to Wang Sai Tong waterfall, kayaking on the whitewater and into Chet Kot cave.
Been to Engthan resort twice and will be coming again for many more time.

Saw this place in FB n decided to try it out. Drove from Wang Kelian, took about 2 hrs leisure drive. Good layout, good wifi, good amenities, friendly staff, good food n near to river kayaking n waterfall. Try the tent stay n look our for Moktar, Satun Discovery for activities. 

The place is rather hard to find for us.  We drove there using google map but the location pinned was in a middle of a plantation and not the right one.  There were some problems communicating with people who stayed there but luckily one of our travelling friends are capable of some thai and we were able to get some rough description of the direction of the resort.  We have corrected the pin, hopefully, the corrected one is now on google map,

Once we got there, the place was nicely rustic.  It could have been nicer if the place is new and better maintained.  But what was there was sufficient for a short stay.  

The resort arranged for our river kayakking.  It was a really really good and mild experience.  There was a slight drizzle when we started so it was cool and there was plenty of water in the river.  We saw a group of kids being trained for kayakking and that was fun.

The meals provided were heavenly and one of the best thai food that i've ever tasted.  So if you're staying here, just get the food from them as a package.  Anyway, I'm not sure if you can find food easily here.  

Anyway, their problem here is there is nobody who can speak english well enough for easy communication.
