After spending 3 weeks in Thailand, this was our favourite place we stayed, and the cheapest! The rooms are simple but just what we needed. Really relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Good advice on what to see and do around Pai too. Location is great - short walk or scooter away from town whilst benefiting from beautiful mountain views. 

Favourite place

We loved our stay here. Rooms are basic but clean. Very relaxed vibe, really enjoyed the communal area as well as relaxing in the hammock with a book. Owners are really great and even helped us out when our bike broke, he came out to see where we were and arranged for us to be picked up! Would not have wanted to stay anywhere else and we didn't want to leave. Definitely recommend! 

Amazing 

The place is located on the hill, not far from night market. Bungalows were clean - although be prepared for some insects, frogs and lizards sometimes getting inside:). 
Staff was very nice and helpful. Fluid pool is a nice place too. 

Lovely Stay!

Very basic bungalows in 2 size configurations. Clean and hot water in the shower.

A decent walk up a mild incline but a super friendly and helpful management team coupled with a very user friendly common area makes this quiet accommodation very good option for the budget conscious traveller.

Pick up from town is complimentary if arranged as is a lift back to the bus.

My wife and I have stayed multiple times without any complaint and enjoy the free access to Fluid Pool as a bonus.
 

Rustic 

We traveled as a group of 5 and rented 2 bungalows for 4 nights Jan 29-Feb 2/18.  We are returning guests (stayed in 2016) and absolutely love this place!  The only way to describe it is “GOOD VIBES!!!”.  The staff consists of Mike and his girlfriend, who are wonderful and very helpful.  Mike has lived in Pai for a while and has wonderful advice on where to go and what to do.  The place is far enough out of Pai where I feel you definitely need transportation (we rent scooters in Chiang Mai and come to Pai).  The huts are very basic, small and may have some open cracks, so you have mosquito nets and the bathroom is a connected room with a door, but its all you really need to sleep.  When not sleeping, go on the balcony and lay on the hammock before and after a day of exploring Pai.  The common area is where its at.  There is a large open building/restaurant with tables, chairs, couches, a television, etc.  There is even a firepit that is sometimes used.  I was lucky enough to be here for a lunar eclipse and this was the place to be as guests and nearby friends of the Guesthouse all came to enjoy the eclipse and have a good time around the fire pit.  Everyone there made us feel very welcome and right at home.  My 7 year old son even had a bunch of other kids to play with and he had an absolute blast as well.  

Oh, I almost forgot that guests also have access to Fluid Pool located just on the other side of Pai.  Its a great place to spend the day as them food, drinks & music there are great.  It reminds me of a hotel pool in Vegas.  

I highly recommend the Mountain View Guesthouse and hope to return here again very soon.

Good Vibes!

We stayed here for four nights and had a great time. The lodges are great, quite simple but there is a mosquito net and out lodge had full wi fi, there is also a lovely decking area with a hammock which we both enjoyed! Mike and his wife were friendly and helpful, gave us a map of pai and recommended where to get scooters from and plenty of local attractions (its advisable to rent a moped to go and see all the sites, we are not “pros” by any means but roads are lovely and quiet) Finally we have to say best breakfasts we have had our whole trip, the hash browns are to die for!! We have already said we dont think we can carry on eating “uk” hash browns! Would highly recommend to everyone, thank you to mike and his wife for having us and we hope to return next year 😁
