My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights and wished we could have stayed longer. It's just out of the main city which makes it a little haven for relaxation. We walked from the bus drop off and we're completely fine but I know most people might prefer to rent a bike. Charlie (the owner) is super friendly though and dropped us off in town when wanted to rent a bike the next day and even took us to the bus pick up when we left! He's an absolute super star and a gem of a guy! Our room was really relaxing, especially with the hammock outside and all of the animal noises - we loved it! Breakfast was a bargain and absolutely delicious too! We made use of the pool next door which was great and a nice little refresher after a hot day! They even do yoga in the morning outdoors if you fancy it! All donation based. 

The location is great and you're close to all the main attractions. I'd definitely recommend anyone to stay here - we thought it was a great little find! 

A hidden secret!

I stayed there on two separate occasions. Great relaxing place. Everybody there was absolutely wonderful. Slightly away from the city center (which was a plus for me) I stayed in the hut on both occasions. Comfy bed, large bathroom, front porch with personal table/bench as well as hammock and outdoor fridge. They do have a breakfast option as well, but I never took advantage of that. Great communal area for relaxing. Also, some of the sweetest dogs around. I would definitely recommend this place!  

Relax

For me, Pai Laguna was just perfect ~ located out of the main town about 15min bike ride, it was like a lovely peaceful oasis.  My little hut with hammock opened up to farmland and mountains over which I watched the sun rise every morning.  Charlie was an amazing host, providing pedal bikes and a beautiful yoga space with mats for the guests at no extra charge, and even drove me into town to the bus station as I was leaving.  

The hut did get a little noisy during the night and early morning with animal noises, but that's what happens when you're surrounded by nature, haha!  Also it did get pretty chilly in the hut at night, so I'd recommend bringing some warm pajamas. The food offered at the restaurant is a good value, basic but hearty, and I loved the common chill-out area with various lounge platforms and hammocks & free cold/hot water provided. 

There wasn't a lot of social interaction happening which I liked - I wanted a space with peace and quiet.  Amazing value ~ I didn't want to leave and will surely be back.  Big thanks to Charlie for sharing such a lovely space!

A peaceful little oasis

Just outside of the main city centre of Pai. Sweet little hut that fit a double bed, fan, tv and bathroom. No bugs, but a mosquito net is there if needed. The laguna was not as exciting as we had expected, but the location is great and the atmosphere of Pai Laguna is very nice. The owner is kind, has good English and knows the city well. It's not "swanky", but it is a lot of fun to stay in a hut.

Sweet little hut, just outside the main city of Pai

The Pai Laguna Hotel is located 2km outside the city which is wonderful for relaxation. There were hanging mats and comfortable seat cushions available on my own terrace :) or also in the living area. Large pool within 5 minutes walk (50THB entrance). Friendly owner who also drives free into the city or back. Or you can take a free bike (5min. to the center). However, not all are ready yet, but are patched on demand.

A Good Place to Relax

I spent 2 nights at Pai Laguna. When I got there I was greeted by Charlie and I checked into my dorm. The hostel is much quieter than your typical backpacker hostel. Since I was going to be staying in hostels crammed with backpackers for most of my journey, this was a good change. 

There were so many hammocks, even had one in my rooms balcony.

Pai Laguna also provided free usage of their bicycles. Since I did not want to rent a scooter, I used the free bicycle instead. I managed to visit all the sites in Pai with the bicycle over 2 days so it did the job. 

Charlie is the nicest owner I have met, he provided a lot of useful information and even gave me a lift to the bus stop when I was leaving.

My stay at Pai Laguna

The Pai Laguna is a bit far from the center, but Charlie the owner makes bicycles available and offers to drop off his guests in a side car or small van. No worries so, quite the contrary, the Pai Laguna is ideally located in the middle of nature. The small bungalows overlook a kind of small charming water point and have a private terrace/gazebo. I spent an entire afternoon working there, I felt like home. Everything is simple and charming, wood and bamboo. Room and SDB very clean. After 3 nights, I was even ready to leave this resting place, as well as Charlie, always willing to help and thank you. I have spent this afternoon without resting to anyone who wants to see and animate Charlie around the center, giving him a little more peaceful advice, and encouraging him to rest a little bit.
