The Pai Resort

We stayed 2 nights in this resort choosing the cabin option, the manager is very welcoming and offers scooter rentals. However, for the price even though this resort remains affordable, we didn't have hot water, the bathroom wasn't very clean and we had very cold at night. But heartbreak for the place and the pool!

Nice for small budgets but goodbye.

The accommodation is nice, but it's not isolated. In January it was 5 degrees in the room. I could barely sleep. About 8 minutes away by Vespa. Run about 30 minutes. No good restaurant nearby.

Cold nights

We stayed just one night at Chang Pai resort, and it was fine.
The room was in a "villa" (well, villa is a big word, but it was a small separate building up the hill with 2 rooms under one roof) - it was very clean and comfortable, the bed was comfy and soft for Thailand and everything was spotlessly clean. From the bed there was a great view of the sunset! 
There was a big walk-in shower, and on the veranda a huge bathtub in the open air.
With the current drought (and the low water pressure) it was not a good idea to fill the bath so didn't do it - but the shower was great with plenty of hot water.
Breakfast was served in the room, it was plentiful and good.
We also ate some hot food from rooms service and it was delicious (pad thai, stir fry).
The pool area is small, with just a few (a bit worn-out) loungers, but we did not make use of it.
This is not a fancy resort, but very nice and comfortable.
Service is also very friendly.
This resort is up a steep hill = therefore great views - and its already very steep to arrive at the hotel parking to with your scooter - if they suggest to drive further up to the rooms don't do it, it's better to walk as the ride is too steep and dangerous.

Comfortable stay with great views

We had a great few days staying at Chang Pai resort in a stream view room. The room was very basic but clean and great value. 
The location of this place is outstanding. It is extremely peaceful and beautifully surround by the Thai jungle, while also being very close to the centre of Pai and also the white Buddha. 
I would recommend this place for somewhere to lay your head while exploring the lovely little town of Pai!

Peace and serenity

Great accommodation and very friendly owners beautiful views ... but no road access you have to drive or walk across fields to get there ..no lighting at night .. breakfast not for vegetarians and Thai rice dish only.. bit far from town about 15 mins to centre to walk .. it’s literally in a field surrounded by garlic seedlings ... but if you don’t mind the hassle it’s really lovely and the owners will take care of you ...ps no hot showers did not work ....not for older or disabilities

Lovely place and lovely owners...but

We stayed for 4 nights in Chang Pai Resort. It is slightly out of the centre at about a 15-20m walk which is fine, or 3 minutes by bike. 

The resort has a nice small pool area with a reception area and a few cold drinks to choose from. The setting is quite nice with multiple cabins/bungalows with a stream running through it. The rooms are a nice size with decent views in a peaceful setting. 

There is nothing poor about this place but it needs a cash injection at some point. Out mosquito net had multiple gaping holes in it rendering it useless. The Wi-Fi is quite poor. The room is slightly damp but not uncomfortable. The bathroom is pretty cheap but once again not awful. The staff speak very little English compared to most places. 

I wouldn't not recommend this place but I think there's better places to stay. We actually got a very cheap deal for about 550 bhat a night so we can't complain really. I certainly wouldn't pay the full advertised price. 

Great intentions but rough around the edges

A cute little hut, very light and airy. Friendly and helpful team, very laid back and just the right distance away from the main the strip. Would recommend a taxi if you are ariving by bus as the walk is not for the faint hearted especially in the beautiful heat with loads of bags. About 15 mins walk to main road, if you fancy really seeing the best parts of pai you can rent a bike which the lovely ladies at reception will organise for you. One thing to mention no reflection on the resort but check the rooms for mosquitoes on entry as narurally in such a leafy place, they are certainly bigger than usual and the nets provided have a bit of wear and tear, we sealed ours up with medical tape which worked nicely. Again no reflection on the resort its all part and parcel to the natural expereince. Would certainly recommend. Thank you Chang pai :)

Beautiful, peaceful and friendly

This resort has cozy cabins, although there are always visitors, little fauna.... They have tuktuk service to the village, although the best thing is to rent a few bikes and move around to your liking.

Cozy without great luxuries.

We had a deluxe room and the whole stay was absolutely great. Check-in went very fast, the luggage was immediately delivered to the room and 10 minutes later a scooter was ready. The room was clean, a great bathroom and the view is indescribable. We got a great service and breakfast in the room is just a highlight. We'll be back.

Top Hotel

A hotel not bad for the price, so we had taken the low-end so a small wooden cottage simpa (with terrace and hammock) but infested with ants on our arrival.
