Although only a km or so from the centre of Pai, full of backpackers doing there noisy thing, RS is an oasis of tranquility. The gardens are spacious and beautifully maintained. Two more than adequate pools. A pavilion overlooking the river provides an opportunity for quiet contemplation. Spacious room with very large bathroom. I would dispute suggestions that there is anything wrong with the food. Take a look at the website. European focused perhaps but plenty of choice at dinner and breakfast. Beautifully presented, generous and very tasty dishes, along with a decent offering of drinks. The staff are first rate and we much enjoyed their afternoon tour and sunset picnic (although it was more like afternoon tea but none the worse for that). Highly recommended.
