The hard mattress, the lousy and dirty bathroom, the room full of tear gas and the wifi didn't work, we were given the wifi from the bar across the street, the same one that played music all night without letting you sleep, no mosquito nets, zero recommended, we are now in a bungalow for 250 bathrooms, much better.

Horrible 

The room: Located on the ground floor, with a window on the patio and another behind an intersection, walls of compensated, entrance door closed with a locket, door that is 10 meters away from the street and anyone can access the patio from outside, mattress hard as concrete, reminded me of some mattresses in India. Thankfully I didn't jump on the mattress to dive, I would be in the hospital for bone trauma. Linen with some dark stains? Clean bathroom, smell of disinfectant, roof in eternit. One power supply. Location near bars.

No one sleeps.

Honestly, if you value sleep, peace and quiet, and can't stand trashy bar music, DO NOT STAY HERE. 

The bar opposite is obnoxiously loud until the early hours of the morning with terrible music and drunks screaming. The noise travels through the walls so much that you might as well sleep on the pool table in the bar parallel.

This is not the only bad point however. The Wi-Fi does not work and the woman at reception offers little help, although to be fair to her she doesn't speak English that well. 

Other points:
No flushing toilet, manual water scooping flush.
Sheet does not fit on the bed at all, we are basically sleeping on the bare matress.
Matress has a spring popping through which is sharp and potentially dangerous.
Walls and floors made completely of wood, making the room very hot. Even when it's mild outside, it's like a Swedish sauna inside.
The taps in the bathroom are awful, a jet propelled stream of water that could cut steel comes from the sink tap that isn't so good at washing hands that have just touched the gross toilet flushing bucket. 

To summarize, unless you have very expensive, very effective noise cancelling headphones, sweat more than a fat man in a sauna and skin impenetrable to metal then please, do yourself a favour, do not stay here. 

There's much better places to stay for 400 THB, learn from my mistake.

DO NOT STAY HERE! 

I don't expect much, or nothing at all, but it was really under the radar. Absolutely dirty room, muddy, with only a tiny window, mold in the bathroom and hairbrush wherever you look. I don't understand how you can rent something like this. For the same price you get a series of similarly simple, but much nicer, more livable and above all clean hostels in Pai!!!

Bad, worse, day off

Unbeatable location, dead center, close to everything in Pai, 2 minute walk from all the main bars and the walking street. The owner is a gentleman and the staff are lovely. Room was very good for the price. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone going to Pai. Thanks ✌

Lovely place and lovely owner and staff

Room is cheap as chips so not expecting much, very hot rooms with a fan but one wasn't enough! Workers are lovely and took me to hospital on a bike when I was in great need! Get what you pay for overall good! 

Get what you pay for 

If you want a decent night sleep do not book here!!! The room had no windows and the bed was like concrete- the sheet kept coming off and unveiled some really grim looking stains on the mattress underneath. The bar opposite blasted out music until 2am and then was kept awake by loud people in the room next door who were shouting and bringing stray dogs into their room until 4am. You will hear every single word that neighbours say as there are so many holes in the walls. Our bathroom smelled like sick, and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Having said that we paid next to nothing for 3 nights, so if you're looking for a cheap place to crash after a night out then this is probably ideal. 

Loud and unclean 

We stumbled across this subtle guesthouse while we were leaving the bar across the road one night. 
Pros 
- The room we stayed in was reasonably priced, clean and pretty spacious with a bathroom and hot shower.
- Very, very well situated. Breakfast, lunch and dinner options super close, as well as lots of bars.
- The staff were very relaxed, polite & helpful.
- Fast wifi at all times

Cons
- Bed was pretty average - hard with a poor cover sheet.
- It is kind of of loud, but not as bad as previous reviews reflect. 

I would recommend this place, but not for more than a few nights.
