49 reviewsWe stayed just one night at Chang Pai resort, and it was fine. The room was in a "villa" (well, villa is a big word, but it was a small separate building up the hill with 2 rooms under one roof) - it was very clean and comfortable, the bed was comfy and soft for Thailand and everything was spotlessly clean. From the bed there was a great view of the sunset! There was a big walk-in shower, and on the veranda a huge bathtub in the open air. With the current drought (and the low water pressure) it was not a good idea to fill the bath so didn't do it - but the shower was great with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was served in the room, it was plentiful and good. We also ate some hot food from rooms service and it was delicious (pad thai, stir fry). The pool area is small, with just a few (a bit worn-out) loungers, but we did not make use of it. This is not a fancy resort, but very nice and comfortable. Service is also very friendly. This resort is up a steep hill = therefore great views - and its already very steep to arrive at the hotel parking to with your scooter - if they suggest to drive further up to the rooms don't do it, it's better to walk as the ride is too steep and dangerous.
