Stayed here with family, what a charming place, the host was so very helpful, such a welcoming lady. Room was in the garden, we had our own bathroom and air con. Loved sitting by the river watching the wildlife.

Charming place

We were travelling from Ranong to Phetchaburi, it was after 10pm when we arrived to the city and tried to find a place to sleep: Sabaidee Resort was the first one we walked in and we were so nicely welcomed! The lady, I think the owner of Sabaidee checked us in for two nights and seemed to have an answer to every question we asked or didn't! She gave us a simplified map of Phetchaburi and gave a lots of advice on travelling. Our room was a private room with bathroom and aircon, everything was well cleaned and taken care of. We also had breakfast in the resort, and rented bikes only 50THB per day. The only downside was the neighbours next to us, they started to play music very early in the morning. The wifi was okay, every now and then it stopped working.

Just lovely

350 baht for a twin fan room. We got a discount down to 300 baht for the promise of a three night stay.... shared bathroom.
Free water and the use of a kettle to boil water.
Riverside guesthouse.
Clean rooms and clean bathroom.. all was going great..
Until one night 4 local men say at th e frontdoor table and began drinking... we were stared at as we walked out and on return my girlfriend was stared at as we returned... when i write stared at one of the men ran his eyes up and down her body.
We ignored this and went to our room.
Soon after my girlfriend was going downstairs at the rear of the property to smoke a cigarette at the rear of the guesthouse and the same man who had stared at her was using the toilet with the door wide open... as he stood with his penis out he looked at her and smiled.... she returned out of view of the man and shouted for me..she was shocked.
The man hadn't even tried to hide himself or close the door of the toilet.... he returned to the table with his friends and after telling me what happened i.went to.speak to the man... who quickly got on a bike and rode off.
The woman who owns the guesthouse explained it was her husband and he was embarrassed.... the next day he continued to be insulting with his staring at us and I fwlt at one time he was trying to push me.into.an.altercation.
We left a couple of hours later.
The owner was very apologetic since the initial event occurred. She's a lovely person but her husband was just rude and quite overwhelming with his staring.
We both feel sorry for her but in the end she has a business to.run and that business caters for mainly foreign tourists... and those tourists shouldn't be made to feel any threat against them especially by her husband.
We have given a 3 out of 5 because it is a nice place to stay and the staff are all friendly... but her husband really was over the top.. a typical Thai whisky drinker maybe who dwela he can do what he wants.
Apologies to the wife / owner but we feel this report had to be made... we hope you every success in the guesthouse and respect you so much for the way you look after your ailing mother.... but.your husband is not as nice as you say he is..... quite the predator at times.

Clean place but some problems

I had arrived much later in the day than expected and still 50km from where I had planned to spend the night was taken Sabaidee Resort.  I chose the private room/private bath w/AC. It is a bamboo Hut that is slightly bigger than the bed it contains. It is a bamboo hut in the city next to the river so I thought there may be a chance of bugs in the bathroom, but Was pleased that I didn't see any bugs during my stay. I found the bed comfortable, and the AC was very nice. The people there were very friendly and exceptionally helpful.  I really appreciated the level of assistance they provided. It is located next to a bridge on a larger street.  The traffic dropped off fairly early in the evening and was quiet until next morning. The traffic did not bother me but if you are a light sleeper and want to sleep late it may pose a problem.  I was given a map of Phetchaburi when I checked in.  As it turns out, a week later when I was back in Phetchaburi to catch a bus to Bangkok, the map ended up helping me avoid what could have been quite a hassle.  I really enjoyed the location on the river as I'm an early riser and was able to take a walk along the river in the morning before my taxi arrived.  Again, I am most appreciative of the assistance I was given. I honestly think it was more than what a concierge at a 5 star resort in the USA would provide.


Overnight stay

We enjoyed our two night stay here in room 2. It was furnished with both a king and a single bed which slept our group of 4 well. The air con didn't work, even though we paid extra for it for the first night. The coffee was strong and the herb omelette was tasty. The bridge traffic next to the outdoor seating was a tad noisy but tolerable for a couple of days. Loved all the nearby temples and markets. We enjoyed Phetacheburi very much. *If you are coming into town by minivan be sure to clarify where you are being dropped off. We got lost for a couple of hours in the midday sun when we were dropped off at a spot not even on our map. A very kind local woman and her son drove out to rescue us in their van after we asked for directions. She found us on the road and insisted that we hop in for delivery to our accommodation. So incredibly sweet!❤️
