Time Out Hotel Beach Front 

I’m honestly not so sure why people have complained about this hotel. When reading the reviews on booking.com, I asked to cancel this place but was unable to as non-refundable. I’m glad I didn’t!! Staff: Reviews mention a woman at reception who is rude. I believe this to be the woman who does the morning/early afternoon shift. We never spoke, and didn’t exchange a smile or hello, however she wasn’t rude. Maybe because we didn’t speak to her, I’m not sure. The woman who worked the late afternoon/evening shift was really friendly. Always smiled, always spoke to us and had a little laugh with the girls who worked at Subway. It felt like a nice warm welcome. Cleaning staff also friendly! Location: Excellent location. Can see Patong Beach from the room windows and it’s a stones throw away! Very close to Soi Bangla with all nightclubs and bars. Also very close to all restaurants and markets. Room: Again, not sure why people complained. Room was very spacious with a large wardrobe, TV, Kettle, Cups, Glasses, Tea, Coffee, Milk and Sugar and also a fridge. These are replaced when you put the ‘clean room’ sign outside the door. Bed was very comfy. My mate and I shared a double bed and it was very big. All sheets and pillows were clean. Good air-con too. Bathroom: Bathroom needs updating, however all worked and was relatively clean. No troubles. But please note the standard rooms don’t have a separate shower. It’s like a wet room, which wasn’t an issue for us. For those who complain about the stairs, if you don’t want to walk up a couple flights of stairs, then don’t book this place. If you’d much rather get a lift up 2/3 flights, then there are more expensive options elsewhere. Note: wouldn’t recommend for those in wheelchairs or babies in pushchairs as understandably can be difficult. Overall this hotel was worth the money spent, friendly staff, clean, friendly environment, excellent location and would definitely go back. Luke | UK.
