15 reviewsI happened upon this resort quite by chance when I needed a new place and it was a stroke of luck that I don't usually have. Smile World and Smile Home was created by Margy and Charlie who are always helpful and friendly but never obtrusive, though Leo the cat can be a little ' stand-offish at times. Margy has mastered the style of providing a no frills service to a high and well maintained standard. All essential services, air con, wifi, electricity, bottled water, and daily room servicing, are included in the very reasonable price, Most of the guest rooms open onto the central pool and the surrounding trees make the resort private and secluded. I welcomed the choice of dining either from Margy's on site menu, whic¥h included Western and Thai dishes, or at one of the many Thai restaurants nearby on the Saiyuan Road. Along that same road hairdressers, laundry, and taxi services are plentiful, and a local food market that appears on adjacent land twice weekly completes the local colour. All of these combined to give me a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay. What more? Oh yes: I booked for eight days and stayed for thirty. John A
