We arrived late afternoon on 04th of November me and my husband after 6 hours bus ride from Pai village desperate for a shower only to find out that there was no hot water NO KIDDING no hot water at all . The room was really hot the fan was very noisy and the area was full of street dogs, it feels really unsafe! 

NO HOT WATER !

Stayed here for 2 nights. It's very close to a great morning market and the bus to old town. Like a 2 minute walk. The rooms were wooden walls, with windows and a fan. I prefer no AC, so this was perfect. The beds could be softer, but it didn't stop me having 2 good night's sleep. Showers are in the adjoining building, even when it's raining like it was when I was there (wet season) there was no issue getting to and from the loo without getting wet. 

The staff are very helpful and have good English. My partner left her phone charger behind when we took the bus to Chiang Mai. I called back to the hostel, they were very helpful. They arrange for it to go with the next bus and we just picked it up from the bus station. Great service.

I was supposed to stay in Green House for 3 nights but cancelled one night and decided to move forward and not stay there. What is wrong with that place? It's completely deserted (I saw maybe 5 people in total, some of whom stayed in a sister guest house, Blue House), there is no air conditioning, no hot water shower and the facilities are outside. Even though it's almost by the main road, people just don't stay there. Imagine a female solo traveler on her own in the evening, with stray dogs wandering around and not a single person to talk to. The only good thing about the place is it's cleanliness. And, maybe, the kind staff is an advantage (and they speak decent English). Other than that, nothing to recommend. Don't go there.

Home alone (scary!)

Great value for money and an experience on its own. I got a double hut to myself with ensure for 300B absolute bargain. Staff are very helpful anything you need to know they will tell you! Great English too. Outside my hut there was also a wild snake I saw in the grass, just added to the experience! Easy to get to Sukhothai historical park, frequent trucks going there for 30B on the main road. RECOMMEND!

The Bungalows are fantastic!

Sukhothai Green House is borderline average/above average. It has a few things going for it. For one, the staff is really nice and accommodating. The price is great and the location is decent. It's definitely a good value. One thing that could be considered either good or bad is that the reception desk is next door in the Blue House. It's a little weird to have the staff in a separate building even though it's very close. But on the other hand, Blue House is much nicer. So you get to enjoy the amenities of the other building - public area, WiFi, luggage storage, and cafe.

The downside is that the bathroom for the Green House dorm room is outside. It's clean and well-covered, but still I can see how some people might not like it. Cold show only. There's a semi-outdoor porch area that acts as a social space (not many people when I was there), but the mosquitoes are ferocious!

Overall, it's a pretty good place that provides good value. I might consider staying here again. If you're a budget traveler and only in town for a few days then I'd say go for it.
