We stayed in a bungalow in Khaolak at the C-black hotel. Don't book the bungalow, ants invade the bungalow. And for the price c is a shame. If you go to this hotel take the luxury rooms. We had no choice. Luckily it was only two nights. We made the mistake of paying cash without seeing anything. Don't do that. Couple on the road to Thailand.

Worse bunkalow than khaolak

When you consider what you pay this really is an excellent choice.  The hotel is in a great location 5 mins walk to the beach and right by the shops and restaurants.  The room was very nice and comfortable and we were pleased we had the upstairs room overlooking the pool as it was peaceful at night.   There are loads of restaurants in this area of the strip and we thought it was a better choice than being up by the night market.  The pool is better than we thought it would be and we used it after coming off the beach or if the jellyfish were particularly bad.  There do appear to be some long stay german guests but that shouldn't put you off as they all seemed friendly and although they have a few sunbeds permanently reserved there are enough to go around as most go to the beach. We would stay at this hotel again if we returned.

Good Value

First time in Thailand its brilliant the owners of C Noir r really lovely and welcoming we stayed for 7weeks will definitely be back next year . The owners are really nice nothing to much trouble and the cleaning service lady named Tun works really hard A great place to be 

Amazing 

The + GH is very well located south of Khao Lak on the main road near shops and restaurants. There is direct access to the beach. The bungalows and accommodation are grouped around a pool. Our bungalow with air conditioning is very old with a locker closet, a low furniture on which the TV is placed and under the refrigerator. There is a kettle. The bathroom is basic with hot water. The household is done every day. A chair with two pools and a table is on the pool. The staff terrace is bungalow. - The chalet is a single terrace, it has to be repainted. Very damp. There is no need for dirty furniture. The bed is very small. The bed is very friendly.

GH acceptable

We've stayed here a couple of years ago when it just opened and you can see that the people did their best to keep the hotel a nice place to stay. The pool is great and the location near the beach is nice, but there are some concerns about the lack of cleaning.
There were stains in the bedsheets when we arrived, just an empty showergel bottle, no pool towels, dust everywhere, a failing aircon (only hot or icecold) and when the room was cleaned, the trash was still in the bin and nothing really happened.
Conclusion: unless the cleaning improves, I'd find another place to stay in Khao Lak. 

Average hotel 

We've lived here for nine days. The room was clean. The garden is a disgrace. Next to our bungalow, it was ruined and unattended. The owner is very unfriendly. We're not coming anymore.

Unfriendly Owner

A new stay here, and always very satisfied! Even though the establishment has expanded, it is still a family place and offering a super quality price ratio. I have never had any booking problems or anything and I think I will return... in 2019!

It's always the same!

It is what it is a cheap hotel great for backpackers and OK for family's .Stay 5 nights with breakfast and everything was fine.Near the beach and at one end of the main road so quiet in the evenings.Could be a little cleaner in the rooms and around the outside ,

My girlfriend and I were booked in for 12 nights. On our 5th day I went and spoke to the man in the reception about getting a motorbike for the next day. He was really nice and said it was all organised for us but when we went back the next day he wasn't there it was only the owner who straight away started shouting at us saying she knew nothing about it and she had no bikes. We tried to explain we had organised it with the guy the previous day and asked her to phone him but she wasn't interested. She got very loud and aggressive to the point where my girlfriend was in tears. It turned into a massive argument which ended with her telling us we had to check out. We got money we were due and left. It's a shame she ruins it because the place itself and the rest of the staff are really nice. 

Horrible owner

Rooms:
Firstly get a room overlooking the pool if you don't you'll be under a restaurant or cafe like us.
Lots of scratching tables, loud banging and music until midnight 

Rooms have big beds and fridge, bonus!
Rooms are a little dirty and ours had no mozzie net
