3 stars until 2019...it seems hard to believe. Grinding bed, outdated room equipment and a mini-TV with an average reception, add to that a wifi that is not possible in all rooms. We spent 5 nights in this hotel with a strong wind present, which seems to be the norm. The terrace door closed badly and the wind was crowding the staff, very pleasant was reactive to repair.

Nice, but it's got to be renovated.

Room size, new and beautifully decorated. Bath size also sufficient, beautiful and clean. Almost all rooms with balcony and sea view. Free perfect WiFi throughout the hotel. Breakfast improving.

Nice little hotel right by the sea

Was very nervous to stay at this hotel due to other negative reviews we read but we had a great two week stay here. Rooms were perfect size, clean with nice wooden floors, mini fridge, nice fresh bedding, flat screen tv, good sized balcony and great air con. Hot water takes a minute to come through to shower let it run for a minute and there is plenty of hot water. Hotel is priced at a very fair price and was more than happy with what we got. Hotel manager spoke good english and was very friendly and helpful. Great pool and atmosphere. We stayed as bed and breakfast so cannot comment on food but everything else was pleasing. The only negative point was the mosquitos, so please ensure to take your own repellent! Nice hotel and overall good stay, you get what you pay for at the end of the day :) T&M

Great stay great hotel

We stayed in this 'Fawlty Towers' as part of a RDS tour and it was shocking!
We think that it was owned by a 'Friend' of the tour guide, as there was no apparent reason for us to be dragged out of a 5 star hotel in Anltalya, and shipped to a box a few miles along the coast for the last night.
We asked our guide, 'Mr. Percentage' if it had a pool and he said it was a 'Boutique' Hotel with a pool on a cliff. It had no water in the pool.
It was on a cliff ( a very dangerous cliff with a small green area full of dog mess) and the rest was in his imagination. The room was very badly finished, and in some areas not finished at all. There is no ventilation in the shower room. There is little hot water and any you do get will take a long time to get to you.
The place was badly built, the rooms were dirty and small, there were thread-bare towels which were only changed with an angry face and the food was thrown onto the table.
The majority of our party were retired and obviously did not want to 'make a fuss' but I did and the manger was most unhelpful. (he did arrange an expensive taxi for us to go to the beach but his consideration for his guests ended there)
Do not be fooled by the entrance (shiny but slippery) because that also applies to the manager and his staff.
The owner was requested but never arrived but I did see a half decent Audi outside with the registration including FUK. If that was his, it indicates how much he values his guests.
I blame RDS for this appalling dump and being German, expected more, but as you will find if you ever travel with them, it is all about the money.
We were spending our last night in this dump and, at dinner, the waiters were so pushy, that they started to lay the next course in front of us before we had completed the previous one. When there was no further room on the table, one of them stood menacingly over us drumming his fingers on the side of the soup bowl!
The best thing I can say about the breakfast (On the table-take it or leave it) was that the tea was hot.
I beg you dear traveller, if you want a hotel in Lara, do not go anywhere near the Altes.
As with all reviews, there has to be at least one redeeming feature and that is the view, but you can get that anywhere and without the hassle.
Altes in German means 'OLD', this place is past old, it is DEAD.

They have a pool..... but it is empty

Stayed at the Altes Hotel as part of a weeks coaching holiday with RSD Tours.
Surly staff, dinner and breakfast was canteen level. No choice, plates ''dumped ' down in front of you.
Drink prices the highest of the whole week and that after staying at a 5* hotel.
Cheapest wine at 27Euro per bottle!!!.
Good points  -  Hotel itself was fine. Clean and the  rooms were well furnished with all facilities.

Altes Hotel, Antalya

Avoid this hotel like the plague!

The only redeeming feature was a sea view and a clean warm looking lobby. 

 If there are more than two of you arriving at the same time you will have to wait for the lift. Should you be arriving in a group expect to wait quite some time.
The first room offered was very small with nowhere to sit other than the bed. Moreover when we complained that it was very cold we were told the heating takes 10 minutes to warm up. It never did and we had to move to another room. The hotel was far from full being December and we could not understand why we were not given a room immediately. The couple in the neighbouring room also had to move due to lack of heat. The second room was marginally larger but still there was no chair just a stool. One side of the bed had a table but none on the other side. 
The shower room was tiny with nowhere for the normal equipment you take into a bathroom. Lighting in both the shower room and the bedroom was appalling. Both shaving and putting on make-up were problems. The sink did not have a plug. Try explaining what a plug is in Turkish! Floors were wooden and cold. While the bed linen was nice cotton the pillows were so high they were very uncomfortable.
Drinks be they hot, cold or alcoholic were the most expensive we have ever encountered in Turkey, almost 50% more than a five star hotel further down the road. When coffee was ordered it was Nescafe made so thick with the spoon almost standing up in it. More milk made it a little palatable but cold!
For the evening meal there was no choice. Starters were on the table. Small bowls of salads and yoghurt with bread. This was followed by a plate consisting of rice, mashed watery potato, and two small pieces of chicken with a watery sauce over it. All items were badly cooked. Desert was an orange and salted popcorn.
Later in the evening my wife became unwell and when I asked for a cup of hot water I was asked to pay 2 euro - £1.70. When I refused and walked off to the lift with the cup I was pursued for the money. Needless to say I didn’t pay. 
Breakfast the next morning was a case of here is your plate of food ‘tea or coffee?’ The plate consisted of a very small piece of cheese, 4 olives, a quarter of a tomato, three pieces of cucumber and a slab of very greasy margarine, plus bread. You were limited to 4 cups of tea/coffee. If you wanted more you would have to pay for it.
Checking out time was mid-day and when we asked if my wife could stay in the room until our transport arrived at 3 pm we were told only if we pay for another full day. We therefore came down and sat in the lobby where I was again pursued for the 2 euro for the cup of hot water from the previous evening..
For a hotel that appears to cater for an international clientele we were surprised how many of the staff only spoke Turkish. Moreover their manners and the way those who can converse, albeit marginally, in English was a disgrace.
This hotel could have been a really nice boutique style hotel but was totally let down by appalling staff attitude, really terrible food and poor/average small room.

With a large number of hotels in the Antalya region avoiding this one is not only vital but an easy option.

Avoid this hotel

At first glance, it looks good. It is in a quiet place with a view of the sea. Some rooms stink with the smell of tobacco. No English speakers!!! They are not friendly at all. The breakfast is only Turkish. The worst thing is that under the appearance of kind and willing to help, they charge you up to the air you breathe. No they cleaned the room!!! I would never stay here again in any way.

No, I'm not a good person.

The location is uninteresting, the hotel is small and looks quite inhabited, but it is clean. The large garden in front of the hotel does not use anything at all, including a steep coastline. Dinner and breakfast left no special impression. The poll is very (!!!) small. The hotel guard shows that he is there at night, he has a very strong voice. We were there with a group for only one day, which was enough. On TV there is probably Pro7 in German, so bad image and sound, therefore presumption, otherwise Turkish broadcasters.
