I like the hotel because of its location, and the hotels animation team are talented and funny 💜 im having so much fun with them 😊
But here's the thing; they should check out their plumbing system and their showers

A very nice hotel indeed. The staff is very friendly The food is great I had a very nice holiday with my family The prices are very reasonable. In my opinion, I can say that it is the best hotel in the region.

Definitely Timo Hotel for a holiday with lots of fun, unlimited delicious food and most importantly very caring and friendly staff :) You can't even understand how time flows here. Cleanliness is very nice, food, entertainment is excellent. Thank you for giving us this wonderful holiday with everything :)

Staff:
Terrible 1/5 - Where to begin? Only 1 receptionist knows English. They dont clean your room, dont change the towels, you need to get them on reception yourself, they dont empty the trash. Lots of young people working, no older personnel to take responsibility. Animation team is the worst ever. They play a few songs from time to time, and they play with the kids along the same 3 songs, every night after dinner. Thats it. They sometimes get young people to come to some parties, but we heard those are bad and not worth the money. And yeah, all songs they play are in Turkish. The restaurant/bar staff is the only part of staff that actually does their job well, but they get overshadowed by the rest.

Infrastructure:
Okay 3/5 - The buildings are relatively new and look okay. The pool is good but can get crowded quite easily. The restaurant is okay. The rooms are average, nothing special. The hotel is on an elevation, so the view is usually good. The water supply could use an improvement. 

Equipment:
Bad 2/5 - The shower heads are ancient with only few sprinkles actually working. Together with a weak water supply, low pressure at certain times of day, showering can take a long time. From bathroom consumables you only get a soap and a roll of toilet paper for your entire stay, that's it. Wardrobes are honestly too small, even for men that pack light. Quite a few sunbeds were broken, although in September, so maybe that situation is better at beginning or mid season. The room safe is free and easy to use which is a rare positive. Air-conditioning in rooms is new and working properly.

Location:
Pretty good 4/5 - The hotel is located some 5 minutes of casual, almost straightforward walk from the beach, and some 10 minutes from Gumbet center (Windmill, Alora club, etc). The bus to Bodrum has a stop really close to the hotel when going towards Bodrum and has a stop in front of the hotel when going back to Gumbet. That is a huge deal, since going to Bodrum is going to massively affect your entire experience. Bodrum has a lot more to offer than Gumbet, both in quality and quantity.

Not recommended

This place lack of good management and is very dangerous for your life. We as a group were attacked by staff and there is ongoing investigation that they try to sabotage. Very dirty place with very small pool for so many guests, it is very overcrowded for such small facility. If you value your money than spend them somewhere else otherwise you will regret staying in this hotel. Please read other reviews. Would never recommend it to any one. It’s more like 1* star hotel but never 4*.

Very dangerous for your life

SERVICE:  Start with the positives, the area of Gumbet in Bodrum is amazing and there is something for everyone. This is just as well as hotel has little for anyone. The pool closes at 6:45pm. The food is minimal, with no meat options like kebabs or Turkish specials, no fish in any form either. There is usually a chicken option but if you have Allergies then prepare to eat outdoors always... no soya option or dairy free option. Over 10 different salads which is positive if like me you like salad however the heat  causes you to need more sustainance. No coke or fanta bit they do have Pepsi, lemonade and orange Ade which is good. Only 3 types of spirit alcohol - vodka, gin and local Turkish raki. There are no cocktails but there is draft beer which is nice. Buy duty free if needed. Snack time is usually decent though 👌

ROOMS: we had two rooms near the bar/pool area (1 floor apart) and each had 2 single beds and 1 double bed within. There is a TV and balcony and the views are amazing. Cleaners come daily but will not sweep or mop. The fizzy drink spilled near front door on day 2 was still sticky on day 6. The glass tray to place toothbrush was broken and sharp in both rooms. Our towels were changed regularly (though those with permanent blood stains from previous guests are left in rotation 😳) however the second room above often had dirty towels go unchanged even if clearly placed on floor. There is no entertainment so hotel is boring in the day and evening if with small children... we had teens so we're outdoors daily and bought meals outside despite paying all inclusive. They ran out of toilet roll in the whole hotel for 24hrs, but there is a supermarket next door and another opposite. Things are cheap to the £ so go ahead and buy what should be available but isn't. Only £1.10 for 2L bottle Coke!

Our experience was far better than others- some rooms were 35°C as the A/C didn't work. One family had to accept being merged 7 ppl to 1 room with mattresses on the floor as AC in one of their rooms did not work. Top tip- befriend the night reception staff, the restaurant staff and other guests that speak Arabic... friendliness gets you a less worse service and night staff that will raid an empty room for loo roll.

Location is top!!! Handbags and goods are cheaper than Antalya and even Bodrum city area so buy, buy, buy. Better shoe options in main town. Local buses are cheap-50p (10Lira) to get to the clubs etc.. and can take a 45mins drive to main town for £1.25. Many water sports on the beach, Aqua park is great, trip to Greece, Koz is £20 each but can barter a better deal for groups.  All excursions are cheaper when booked from external agents rather than hotel rep. The clubs are amazing and an experience like no other, with live artists performing and girls dancing... there is one gay club and a number of other clubs with a mix of local, Western, African and Latino music on offer. Top tip: All are open air, free entry and amazing. Get directions and make own way.... or risk locals saying we're together and starting a tab in your name or hotel reps charging to take you to a free venue...

Great boat trips and things to do but be mindful that you can walk on the beach 7mins walk from Smart hotel but as they don't have any allocated area, other hotels that are backed onto the beach will move you on if you try to use their sunbeds/deck chairs. Walk 15mins to the left for free/public beach space
