This is a good value option, situated very conveniently for visiting Hattusa and Yazilikaya. We chose it over the more expensive Asikoglu options down the road in Bogazkale and liked its slightly faded, period qualities. Loved the stylishly 1980's dining room. Nice chatting to some of the other interesting and well travelled guests. The manager was great. Breakfast and dinner are available and so are reasonably priced cans of beer.

Good value option, perfectly situated for visiting Hattusa

I stopped here purely at random and found the hotel to be, for the price, an extremely good value.  The room was comfortable, although a little spartan, but the real value is in the hotel manager.  He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to suggest additional sites to visit and loaned me an invaluable guidebook that really enhanced the experience.  And, on my last night, prepared a dinner of local specialities, even though I was the only person in the restaurant.  Can't say enough.

Great Location for Hattusa

I would rate this hotel as good. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean.The decor is a little old fashioned. The hotel is located in a quiet area of the village in the beautiful countryside just a couple of mins drive from hattusas. The hot water was tepid and that could be as the hotel was almost empty. The breakfast was plentiful with a good selection of food. The hotel served our purpose of spending one night in the area to visit the historic sites.

Comfortable in peaceful location

We had the opportunity to be the only guests in this hotel by end of August 2020. And yes, this was the only one hotel opened in Boğazkale when we stayed - which tend to be sure we were the only guests in this city. 
As the hotel was not functional after some months, it was somehow challenging for the hotel staff to re-start the business and they did good. 
The hotel was very quiet - reminded us on lockdown days in Turkey; location wise is very strategic as we could easily walk to Hattuşa, to museum and around the city.

The only one hotel opened in Boğazkale (end of Aug 2020)

We came for the Hittite ruins and we're the only guest in this plus 50 room hotel. Room decor basic but functional, reasonably clean, water just tepid so fairly brisk shower. Breakfast usual cheese, olives, fresh veg, and very fresh tasty bread plus coffee/tea and can of juice. 

Best part of this hotel is the awsome pastrol view from the room window and the bucolic quiet I have not heard in years (sans otomobiles). Price reasonable.

Quiet but pleasant

It’s peaceful and has a nice view of the ancient city. One important detail; non married couples are welcomed to stay in same room Which is important if you are traveling in central Anatolia, in general. The rooms are clean and decent. The breakfast is basic and they have dinner options. I
Would recommend it. 

Peaceful place

I stayed in Başkent demiralan hotel for a night. The rooms are very spacious and clean, there's hot shower but you gotta let the water run for a while. The breakfast was very good with local produce and freshly baked bread. Demiralan is right opposite of Hattusa ruins. I'd recommend this place if you're planning to visit Boğazkale and Hattusa or if you're doing the Hittite hike.

Very good breakfast and service

Bogazkale is a rather small town near the ancient Hittite capital of Hattusia, an archeological gem that is well worth a visit.  On a previous trip, we stayed at the Baskent Demiralan Hotel, an unpretentious place we found acceptable, especially when compared to another nearby hotel we had tried.  Admittedly, things were pretty minimal – room heating had to be supplemented by an electric heater brought in by the staff and hot water for a shower was not available.  Even so, we decided to give it another try for our recent visit (January 2017) but that was a mistake.

It was obvious that we were the first guests (or only guests!) for some considerable time, during which the hotel heat evidently had been turned off.  As a result, the building was frigid and, with its massive, solid concrete walls, not likely to warm up in a reasonable time.  When we went to ask for an electric heater, we discovered that we were completely alone – no staff anywhere in evidence and no instructions on how to contact them.  Except for us, the hotel was completely deserted; the office and the restaurant both were shut and dark and the door to the hotel block was open for anyone to enter.

Under the circumstances, we decided to move on to Corem (about 85 km away) to a first-rate hotel that we knew there.  We left our key and the price of a night’s accommodation (in cash) on the desk.  We certainly do not like having to do this but there are limits to our tolerance.

Way too cold and dark

We didn't book any hotel in Bogazkale as we didn't know what day we'd be arriving ( long trip around Turkey)- so on the day arriving to Bogazkale afternoon of the 11/10/16- I checked prices on Tripadvisor and went to check in but concierge wouldn't give us the room we wanted  for the price advertised which was 23€ ( breakfast included)- he wanted to charge us 120TL (35€ and extra for breakfast)! We went elsewhere for accommodation at Bogazkale! Beware! They will rip you off!
