Small sized hotel, may be guest house, only 2 floors,
Rooms have 2 side, if you can, choose the room in the front, better view from the window,
Small room, with heater, if outside lower than 5 c, not sufficient, still cold inside,
Small bathroom, again, when outside lower than 5 c, water may not hot enough to shower, when I came, -2c, too cold,
Breakfast, not like hotel, not much selections, family business is more likely 


For backpackers

Me and my mother had a lovely stay at Karvalli.  Great service from the staff, clean and spacious room with comfy beds with a fantastic view!!  
My best memory would be the fresh homemade breakfast on the porch under the grape arbor, overlooking the valley and high church!
The hotel itself needs some upgrading and garden needs trimming, the photos on the website can slightly be misleading.

The View!

I stayed with my partner at the hotel for 4 nights on a visit to Cappadocia in april that had begun in Goreme. Without a car, and wanting to see things without being part of a large tour group, Guzelyurt offered a good option to experience something less touristy whilst being in easy reach to the magnificent Ihlara valley. Arriving at the beginning of the season, we were the only guests, which made for a unique stay with our friendly hosts. The Karvalli hotel boasts a lovely view in a quiet part of Guzelyurt far away from the sounds of early morning prayer. It might only be a 2 star hotel, but it is clean, the hot showers work, there is a free water urn for tea and coffee downstairs, and - most importantly of all - it serves up some of the best food we ate in Cappadocia with a different dish each night.  The information we received was always useful when asked for, and the hotel offered a very reasonable shuttle service to and from the Ihlara valley and back to the airport home.  Flexible, laid back, friendly and good value are the watch words for Karvalli's excellent service.  We were sad to leave.

Five star service

Stayed 2 nights in early September. I loved the great quiet of the setting and my room, the light and space in the room, the flowers in the garden, the great view of farmland, lake, hills and Mt. Hasan. My room was extremely simply furnished, which I liked. Hot water took a LONNNG time to arrive in the shower (5 minutes at least). The food was very good, especially the grilled fish, chopped salad, and standard breakfast of boiled egg, tomato, cucumber, cheese, bread. Eating on the terrace was beautiful though a little cool at night, and eating inside would have been fine but for the television constantly on, and some pop music. Best of all were Mevlut and his son who were both gracious and friendly. As an English speaker, communication for me was a little limited, but the experience was great anyway. I appreciated the simplicity, beauty, and price.

We found this hotel very pleasing with very helpful and attaentive staff
The rooms were exactly as shown and the building modelled with local stone
A great base for the surrounding area.
The town is quite interesting with alley ways and old architecture
