Excellent food, contemporary turkish mezes in a great atmosphere. Unexpected great entertainment    at a great location. Not to be missed. Truly enjoyed the evening. We chose the location by chance and had a surprisingly good evening, chef Sidik created an unassuming meze selection.

Contemporary turkish mezes in Selimiye

First off, disclaimer: I have not stayed at this establishment or had any interactions with their stuff, yet my experience with them made my holiday completely upside down, so I decided to mention that.

Same as most people, holidays are to relax, recharge yourself. Therefor after one week sailing I decided to spend 4 days in Selimiye, a remote small town, and it was April which was off season. I chose a family owned hotel, not in the main center but relatively a bit more on the edge, which was unfortunately close to Delice. And please keep in mind, literally every building around there are hotels. 

So far everything was fine. First day, on Monday, I came back to my room around 11pm, and there were sort of a party at Delice, possibly not customers but friend circle, some music was playing, maybe a DJ was there and people were having fun. I have no problem with  people having fun, I do that myself as well. I’m in my mid 30s so I’m not a pensioner doing holiday. 

After midnight the music continued and people were shouting so loud. I was optimistic it would end at a point before 1am but it just got worse, music was loud as heck, people were not laughing but literally screaming. This went on and on until 4am. My windows and curtains were completely closed yet still it felt like it was a party in my room. I could not get a single drop of sleep. And of course no customer  in the middle of the midnight would go outside and would like to argue with drunk people for many reasons. After the party ended, music stopped, then it was some guys from the party having drunk phone calls as loud as possible, so to complete silence came around 5am. 

I thought this was a one time thing but no, it happened literally 4 days in row!!! and completely ruined my holiday sleep cycle, every morning I was getting up with no sleep and was tired all the time. The most irresponsible behavior from establishment disregarding any other people besides them. I have talked to my own hotel about it, sadly they were aware of the situation and they mentioned they called the Gendarmerie before, but no result came out of it so they are also out of solutions. The next room couple staying in my hotel, they had the same problem, no sleep until the morning.

My experience with them was again a reminder that establishments like these are main blockers on tourism in Turkey. They possibly think they have the right to do everything and it’s cool to have unlimited fun. I feel really sorry for people staying around, coming all the way to Selimiye for this terrible experience.

As a result, such experiences made me decided this was my last holiday in Turkey. The cost of no order and understanding. I traveled every single spot in the world one could imagine yet rarely had any such experience. I hope they read this and try to understand why I spent my time writing this comment and hopefully try to improve their behavior.

Egocentric Tourism

This is my 5th time in Selimiye and Delice was the best!

All Delice team were very friendly, and they made us feel at home.

All the food and drinks were amazing, and they were very good value for money

Last but not the least, live music was a huge add on to this excellent experience 

Can't wait to see Delice London :)

The meals, service and the mindset.. All of them are excellent👌🏼 You should try this restaurant✌🏼 Yemekler, servis ve dunya gorusu/zihniyet.. Hepsi mukemmel👌🏼 Bu restorani mutlaka denemelisiniz✌🏼

The Best One in Marmaris 

We went there with a group of friends and we really enjoyed that place! If front of the sea with the best environment! Live music, perfect food and the best mediterranean soul in the same place! What else could we ask for? 
The workers are really friendly, nice and very helpful! We really enjoyed with them too.
The best "mezze" that we've ever tried! And the best breakfast! They prepare authentic turkish breakfasts, delicious! 
We really recommend this place to everyone: for families, for romantic holidays or to go there with your group of friends!

Amazing place!

Decided to make a detour to Selimiye from Marmaris. Absolutely the best decision.
Spent a full day in the most crystal clear sea right outside the beautiful pier in front of our boutique hotel Delice. What a place. So full of character with just the right amount of authenticity, but also lots of creature comforts that you want while on holiday.
Last night we enjoyed the flavoursome mezes. Some were quite original as I am well travelled in this area, but there seemed to be some new additions to the table. 
Ask for the Chardonnay Turasan from the Cappadochia region. It was so fresh and went well with the fish mezes. My children prefer meat and had the cop şiş (small cubes on a stick). They finished their plates. The bread is so soft and do try dipping it in the local olive oil. The icing on the cake was the live music from the boat sitting in front of Délice.

Memories made at Delice, Selimiye

The restaurant doesn't charge a dime, starting with the short card... don't get me wrong, the mezzes are very original and they're just delicious. Special mention for the raw apple bar (never seen in Turkey) and the kadayif curdles. And mezzes, I've tasted kilos. Overall, an excellent dinner on the waterfront pontoon, a must!

As the name implies

Amazing view of the sea, drinks are nice and original for a good price, lovely decor and very friendly workers. Would give it a 10/10. I would come again for definite. Very friendly dog called Oscar. A great mascot to the place.

Outstanding

This is my second visit to Delice and once again it was a relaxing experience from beginning to the end. 
It is a cozy hotel right next to the sea in Selimiye. You can start the day with a delicious traditional Turkish breakfast followed by a cup of coffee before you lie down under the sun.
You can enjoy your book and put on your headphones if it is simply some isolation what you are seeking. If you are visiting with your family and kids Delice is a safe place where you can always keep an eye on your little ones.
After sunset the place turns into a classy restaurant with an alternating menu. The traditional Turkish "meze" s -especially Atom- are must have. 
All these assets make Delice a warm place to stay yet the real highlight that renders this boutique hotel a real gem is the friendly approach of the personnel and the owners.
Isil and Olive, the owners, are always smiling and do everything in their hands to make the guests happy. They are not anything like two "bossy hotel owners". You can always see them running around the place to deliver the comfort you are looking for. And at the end of the day if you want to hear a nice story and some chit-chat along a couple of cocktails Isil and Olive are the perfect partners in crime.

You'll leave Delice happier than you arrived except that you'll probably never want to leave...

Warm and Lovely

We spent 5 wonderful days in a super clean hotel. Super friendly atmosphere, warm and welcoming. Breakfast super, everything just super!!! The rooms are tasteful and equipped with everything. Thank you, we'll be back 100%!
