The entrance and the reception was in a very bad condition, broken glass door, dirty, the staff didn't spoke english. In the middle of the lobby there were a lot of emigrants, who were packing big boxes and bags to send to their family. Actually the lobby didn't look at all like a hotel lobby.
At least the room was clean and we had a good rest. The breakfast was also acceptable, but when there are a lot of people, there are no plates and forks, so you have to wait for them to be washed. Also the place, where the breakfast is served is quite depressing.
The good thing is the location, as it very close to the metro station, an you have a good access to the main attractions of the city.
In general, i will make sure to never agin step in this hotel.

Very miserable hotel!

Very bad, specially the room: a stuffy booth with short & tilt housetop. We hurt our head frequently after getting up from beds.
No fascility... no guidance... no nice view
Just 2 positive point:
1- tasty breakfast with acceptable variety
2- easy access to taksim & markets

Not room; it was a poor cubicle

A nice hotel in Central Area near Grand Bazar about 10 min walk.The tram station was near.Front desk upgraded our trip please sharing room.It was bigger and spacious.The LOBBY and hotel was on first floor so was inconvenient with luggage.Once inside then there was an elevator.The lobby was not impressive but rooms were excellent.Free WiFi. Fine restaurants in the vicinity.Helpful front desk.Free water and tea/coffee available in lobby.

Good stay

We were booked into this hotel by our travel agent as we were only staying for less than one night having come off a cruise in the morning but our flight was not due till 6:00a.m. the following morning. We wanted somewhere we could freshen up and have a bit of a sleep.The hotel we were originally booked into had been closed down and we were told this one was on a par! Should have set warning bells ringing but hindsight is a wonderful thing!

We arrived at the hotel to discover the reception was on the first floor and the only way up was by steep stairs. Not good as my husband has mobility problems! When we checked in our passports were taken from us, which I expected would happen. We informed them that we were being picked up at 3:00a.m. so would not be having breakfast only to be told we could go and have our breakfast there and then. 

Our room was on the third floor. The lift was so small that our luggage had to go up on one lift and the three of us squashed into the other one. I dread to think what it would have been like if the lift broke down! We were shown to our room and I could have wept! There were three single beds, which was alright but the only saving grace with them was the sheets were clean. I dread to think what the mattresses were like but the bases of the beds were disgusting.

The bathroom left a lot to be desired. There was only half a door on the narrow shower which meant half the bathroom floor got flooded when you had a shower. There was a drain in the shower and one slightly outside the shower which was covered in matted hair! The floor tiles were partially grouted. 

There was a wardrobe with doors which didn't shut properly and inside were some blankets which had just been thrown in. There was a television but the cable channelling had been ripped off the wall. There was air-con, that didn't stay on, which was remote controlled but no instructions as to how to use it. It only stayed on for about five minutes then turned off again. The room was so hot. The door to the room looked as though it had been jemmied a few times judging by the indentations in  it!

I went down to reception to see if they could check us in for the flight as they still had our passports. The receptionist, who was helpful, tried to hand me somebody else's passport. They were not kept locked anywhere safe but at least I got them back.

As the hotel was less than desirable to be in we spent the day going round the city in the open topped buses. The hotel is well situated for visiting all the tourist spots but is NOT the place you would want to stay for a week's holiday!

The only good thing about it was being picked up at 3:00a.m. to go to the airport!

Never Again!

I booked for four nights. It was not very impressive, cause the room was small, and the light was insufficient.  but the bathroom was clean. Breakfast was good, its location was great near to Yenikapi metro station, and tramwa, and also to historical places like Beyazit mosque.
Special thanks to its great staff who can speak English either, and they were so freindly, thanks indeed Fatma and Kapüş.
