I stayed there with my two friends. Everything was normal until we had to pay. We wanted to pay by card and the owner was insisting to add 8% to the price and he wanted to get cash. We booked hotel through booking.com and nothing was written there about commission for paying by card. This situation ended up with fighting and we got surrounded by 20 local guys.

Try to avoid staying here unless you are looking for a trouble

Great value for money.  The location was fantastic, minutes from restaurants and the main shopping street. The people who owned the apartments were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to people looking for a central budget apartment as a base for exploring the city.

Great value for money

Great location. 2 minute walk to istiklal street. 

Had the top floor room. With roof top terrace. The stairs to this room are a killer. No lift. Felt the roof too terrace was very unsafe. Wall was very low and no safety railing and the view wasn't nice. 
Bed was very comfortable. Shower was poor and never any hot water. After a couple of showers the bathroom had an awful smell. Like sewage. Must have been the drains. Smell never went away. 
Walls have dirty marks on, floor was worn down and seats were dirty. 
Was a spacious room.

We stayed for 9 nights in the economy apartment, which is located at the half-basement floor and has a separate entrance. It was a very good value for money, especially because we caught a "Secret Deal" type on booking, so we paid half or even less than the usual rate for it. The owner was very friendly and he let us check-in at 6:30 a.m. when we arrived. I liked a lot the proximity to Taxim Square (max 10 minutes) and Istiklal Street (2 minutes). So it is quite a perfect location for people who like to be close to the heart of modern Istanbul with all the shops and clubs and so on. Also, the apartment is large enough for 2 people as it has a comfortable living room and a small bedroom, but with a huge bed. Bathroom was clean, microwave and fridge worked well (tested!). 
The place is really humid and has a weird smell that we could not manage to get rid of (even in 9 nights). So I would not recommend the economy apartment to someone who really dislikes a humid atmosphere. You have to always keep the curtains closed because otherwise everybody from the small street on which is located can see what you are doing. 

Overall, I recommend this place for being very comfortable, very spacious and for its nice owner, and also for its very convenient location.

Very good location, good value for money

Very nice place. We stayed there for a week vacation with friends and it was all good: location is just a throw away from Istiklyal street and Taksim Sq, manager was very helpful and supportive at all times, rooms spacious and clean Recommend to all who want to have great value for money.
